🚨$3.2B Bailout 🚨
People who can't afford these condos..
Are now paying taxes to bail out the people who made them unaffordable in the first place.
The Canadian Dream. 🙃
Canadian Police Chiefs: Our officers are using police databases to meet women by running their license plates in the system and finding their info.
Also Canadian Police Chiefs: We absolutely NEED laws that force companies to keep databases about all Canadians! For uh... safety!
40+ legal scholars say the EU has a duty to end trade with Israel's illegal settlements and can do so with a qualified majority of member states. No unanimity is needed.
EU Commission must stop dragging its feet and table a proposal @vonderleyen@MarosSefcovic
Israel and a democratic president slaughtered over 15,000 children in HD for 15 months straight and there’s a particular genre of pundit whose job is to act confused why a generational US war crime would come to define the first wave of primary fights after said mass slaughter.
Situational update on the Kostyantynivka direction:
Over the last week, the situation has continued to deteriorate for Ukrainian forces in Kostyantynivka as Russian forces continue to clear the remaining parts of the city still under Ukrainian control. Additionally, Russian forces have intensified assault operations on the flanks of the city in preparation to advance towards Druzhkivka once Kostyantynivka is captured.
West of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces captured a series of treeline positions southwest of Illinivka, from which they are infiltrating the eastern part of Dovha Balka. Other assault groups are infiltrating Dovha Balka from the south, and are attempting to outflank it from the east by advancing further north towards the chain of reservoirs. Additionally, the Russians resumed assault operations west of Stepanivka, advancing towards the Ukrainian treeline strongpoints southwest of Dovha Balka.
In the northwestern part of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces completed the capture of the remaining residential area south of the tributary of the Kryvyi Torets River after Ukrainian special forces withdrew. From there, they crossed the tributary and gained a foothold in the first blocks of the Novoselivka District and are now attacking Ukrainian positions on the northwestern outskirts of Kostyantynivka, which are coming under extremely heavy shelling. Some forward assault groups and DRGs reached the northwestern exist to Kostyantynivka and are attempting to enter the nearby village of Osykove. Other assault groups cleared the western bank of the reservoirs and linked up with other forces in the Novoselivka District.
In the central part of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces continued fighting for the Zinkovy District, where they are attempting to clear out the last remaining Ukrainian soldiers west of the Kryvyi Torets River. Battles continue for the neighbouring central industrial zones, where Russia is slowly completing their clearing operations.
In the eastern part of Kostyantynivka, the Russians captured the railway station and nearby private sector after Ukrainian forces withdrew to the stadium. Covering forces are currently holding the area of the stadium under Russian operational encirclement to allow for the main Ukrainian force to withdraw northwest past the historical centre to the northern suburbs. Additionally, Russian forces advanced west of the tram depot, capturing several low-rise residential blocks southwest of the large forest.
In the northern part of Kostyantynivka, Russian forces significantly expanded their zone of control, capturing numerous low-rise residential blocks and breaking through to the 3-story buildings north of the stadium. Here, they are heavily shelling the remaining Ukrainian forces who are holding out and trying to withdraw to the northern suburbs. Other assault groups continue to assault the Ukrainian strongholds at the northern entrance to the city near the Novodmytrivka-Kostyantynivka Road from the east and west, while simultaneously attacking south towards the 3-story buildings in order to physically cut them off.
Additionally, heavy fighting continues for the historical centre, however, due to the continued presence of numerous Ukrainian positions overlapped with Russian positions, Russian forces are yet to establish stable control over any of these areas. Nevertheless, infiltration attempts continue to the highway in order to physically cut off the Ukrainian formations to the east, as well as west across the tributary of the Kryvyi Torets River into the northernmost part of Kostyantynivka.
East of Kostyantynivka, the Russians began advancing east of Novodmytrivka, capturing several treeline positions north of the large forest. Infiltration attempts are now underway towards the eastern edge of the reservoir north of Novodmytrivka.
In the Chasiv Yar area, Russian forces continued their attacks in the Shevchenko District of the city, as well as on Ukrainian positions along the railway line to the west, so far without any confirmed successes.
As recently seen in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, some of the areas of Kostyantynivka shown in red contain small, isolated groups of Ukrainian soldiers trapped in individual positions behind the lines. These positions do not pose any significant threat to Russia, and do not affect their offensive, hence why they are not represented by any grey-zone on the map.
@policytensor Funny how China had to plan much of that advantage and yet FA wrongly calls it "comparative" advantage when it is mostly shaped, competitive advantage. Makes a mockery of standard school boy trade theory.

“We will acquire units in bulk, at a discount to market value, at a time when prices and sales are already both low”
Market value is what buyers are willing to pay. So how can the government claim a discount to market value when it won’t allow the market to determine that value?
I think it’s cool how we find magical mystery money when we need to spend $132B to kill and maim thousands in Iran and $22B to help Israel commit genocide but every city and state govt is forced to do increasingly degenerate gambling gimmicks to scrap together money for pot holes
China is making a broader push to internationalize the RMB. But as it converts loans from USD to RMB, China seems to be restructuring debt on more favorable terms for recipient countries, at least with Kenya.
