A democratically elected British Prime Minister has been driven from office by a relentless campaign of propaganda and misinformation; funded, amplified and perpetuated by foreign billionaires and elites whose interests bear zero resemblance to those of ordinary working people.
A noble gesture from an emotional Keir Starmer, entirely consistent with his conduct in office.
A truly sad day for British democracy.
His full resignation speech:
Take a moment to really look at this photo. 👇
That is the White House lawn. The People's House. Sacred ground that has stood for 226 years. Not destroyed by war. Not by disaster. But for one man's pleasure.
We are 13 days away from our 250th birthday as a nation, and our president spent $14 million ripping out the Reflection Pool to build himself a swamp. Another $600 million turning the East Wing into rubble. Rose Garden destroyed. And $60 million for his own birthday party that tore up the lawn.
226 years it stood strong. This man destroyed it in a year and a half.
One photo that screams exactly what he's done to this great nation.
So the media and his party want Starmer to step down because he's not popular? Not corruption, or something bad for the country or a scandal? Really is that the TWATTING REASON?????
@aravosis The owner of the contractor was a Trump donor, crony and a member of his Mar-A-Largo club, see picture below. He was awarded a no-competition contract, no bid competition. So where was the oversight?
My sense is that, unpopular though Starmer undoubtedly is, much of the electorate are not happy with the prospect of a Prime Minister being overthrown by a combination of a media frenzy, desperate Labour MPs, and the personal ambition of Andy Burnham.
This 👇🏻@DeborahMeaden please write to the PM and reiterate your call to tell him to fight. !! Imagine you are in Dragons Den
He has the class and the delivery
Burnham is Corbyn with a quiff
Stand by Starmer @LBC@BBCNews
Errr @SamCoatesSky literally saying Starmer resigning whilst the banner on @SkyNews saying
“Number 10 insists PM will fight on”
I mean what on earth …
Oh and Sam, Burnham is NOT the “overwhelming favourite” to be PM, only 90 MP’s support Burnham out of 350
No journalist Sam
Labour source texts: ‘Andy Burnham would rather bring down the government than have the courage to launch a challenge. Tells you everything you need to know about that man. Snivelling little rat. Always has been. It’s why he’s lost two leadership elections’
@PolitlcsUK@harriet_symonds These 402 @UKLabour MPs would jeopardise the STABILITY of the United Kingdom to keep their jobs
AND they want a COUP pushing policies 🇬🇧 LEFTWARDS without a mandate of the people. Labour was elected because @Keir_Starmer is a centrist moderate
#KeirStarmer#LabourParty
🚨 NEW: A Labour source says Andy Burnham is a “snivelling little rat”
“Burnham would rather bring down the Government than launch a challenge… Snivelling little rat, always has been. It’s why he’s lost two leadership elections”

Starmer’s been a poor PM, but the vitriol and hatred towards him is just weird. It comes from both the far left and far right. It’s contrived by people whose motives are deeply suspect. Part of me wants him to survive just to spite them.
The replies to this post have put absolutely beyond doubt that the hatred for Keir Starmer is 99% based on misinformation. Just read through them, people spouting the same misinformation they have been repeatedly fed over the last year or so, disproven countless times, but still believed and amplified by so many. This is how easy it is to brainwash millions of people if you have the resources. This is how societies are destroyed.
@Billbrowder Russian elites absolutely love talking filth about the West, but for some reason, they also absolutely love enjoying the West's freedom of speech, amenities, and luxury.
When the Russo-Ukrainian war ends, Ukraine will emerge as Europe’s most battle-tested military power.
The irony is extraordinary.
Russia invaded Ukraine to keep it weak, dependent, and outside the Western sphere.
Instead, it forged a hardened nation, armed it, united it, and turned it into a major military power.
Few strategic mistakes in modern history can compete with that.
@Megatron_ron The Macho idiot, Trump, who never should have been allowed to run for president, is so blatantly incompetent that one feels physically ill. We can at least secure now, that he is not allowed to continue. His entire administration should be arrested on the spot for treason.
Over the last couple of days I have been angry and disturbed that a small cabal of chancers and misfits aided by our vile gutter media should be trying to foist a coup on us. Today I am incandescent with rage. What are we ? A banana Republic ? NO. NO. NO. this has to be stopped.
“Red lines remain unchanged: Ukraine does not and will not recognize any territorial losses under any circumstances, and it rejects any idea of trading land in exchange for peace.
Any attempt to impose such concessions is seen as unacceptable and contrary to international law and Ukraine’s sovereignty.
The position reflects a broader principle that lasting peace cannot be built on the legitimization of occupation or force.
Ukraine remains committed to restoring its territorial integrity in full.”
