got my first 5 win rotating streak(one with each character) in Slay the Spire 2. Most of them were very close in multiple spots. At least for my level of play, I really like where game balance is for the most part(perhaps excluding silent), especially given there's no act 4 yet.
Defect was my least successful character in Slay the Spire, but was the only one I was able to get to ascension 10 without a loss in Spire 2. Love the focus re-design and the status synergies. Silent almost made it but took one loss at A9.
Slay the Spire 2 is incredible. Time will tell if it achieves the same level of balance that made the first game so infinitely replayable, but the game is hitting all the right notes so far. Also it seems that even in early access, it is quite a good deal larger than the first
Lep19 just SHATTERED the Any% world record by 29 seconds, with the new much harder Fury route, breaking the previously impossible 31 minute barrier... (?!)
What an insane runner and achievement....
I best get to work on the WR hist sequelπ
@Andrewgspeedrun I was into speedrunning as early as '98, but the barrier to entry was just a lot higher than it is now. Tough for a 15 year old with no money to figure out how to record runs. I remember not being able to download SDA videos, could only watch the ones that were flash embedded lol
Our next project is... Slay the Spire 2!
Announced as part of the #iiishowcase, Slay the Spire 2 is coming to Steam Early Access in 2025.

More info coming later this year, stay tuned... π
@TheSozeman Indeed. When a JRPG has me so frequently strategizing in menus, I know Iβm playing a great game lol. Might be different for those that are following guides, but Iβve been really enjoying solving the puzzle
It is so refreshing to play a single player JRPG with a large amount of interesting, challenging post game content. Feels like itβs been two console generations since Iβve had this experience, unless Iβm forgetting one Iβve played. What a brilliant game.
@baronhaynes But each jump covers less vertical distance than the previous until you can no longer tell how many more upgrades you need to reach a ledge
@AndrewAlesso@rg_alesso Yeah, live from Salt Lake City. My run will be on 5/21 on https://t.co/lVcQlF7xI9. Roughly 9:30 AM pacific, but that will likely shift a bit depending on how the earlier runs go
