@BlueJaysDad Depends, is he working for Rogers? If not, he would be honest. I loved watching Buck in the playoffs when the Jays were out. He was honest and not a "homer". Amazing to say the least. If he is with Rogers, everyone is the best in baseball at what they do.
@DominicDs34 Batting .145 and 16BB, I agree with you. Being a fan favourite is not a reason to keep him. Yes, he hit a homer off Snell in playoffs but LA still won series. Fenway debut was awesome but time to move on.
@ari_shapiro Everyone needs to stop feeling bad for him. He is making 4.2 million. Show the Jays they were wrong. Instead, he pouts and was not good at all.
@TwinsAlmanac To those cutting him up as a pitcher, have you seen what are on some pitching rosters this year. His choice of lifestyle should not be a factor. Lots of bad team mates out there as well. If he can help win, do it. Also, celebrate a 7 inning not hitter in the Atlantic League?
@Daniele_Media He went for the money and that is okay. The way he handled it. First saying he wanted to play with Vladdy for life and then saying he has always wanted to be a Met. If he held a grudge for being held back when Vladdy was called up as a rookie, get over it.
@DRorbie@thejaysnation Sorry about imo (in my opinion). Jays are 5th overall in payroll and do have to pay in USA dollars. 255 Million American is 350 million Canadian. Should they have given Bichette 42 million? Gave Cease 200 million. I agree, goal is to win and there should be no other goal.
@DRorbie@thejaysnation Romano's ERA last year was 8. 32. This year 5.40 in 5 innings. Bo never embraced Canada imo. Said he wanted to be with Vladdy for life then says he has always wanted to be a Met.
@jimsoxfan He was 5th lowest in accuracy last year with 92%. At an elite level, this is hard to accept. There could have been more that were not challenged. Mind you, almost 375 pitches in the game on both sides.
@andrew_danelon@BlueJays@TD_Canada I do hope I am proven wrong but Leo Jimenez offered much more than a fan favourite. Yes, he hit a big homer off Snell but that is in the past. He hit .132 in spring training, that does not earn a spot. What a horrible message to send to the organization and young fans.
@andrew_danelon@BlueJays@TD_Canada Atkins: "But Davis has proven that he belongs here and was integral to last year's success. Felt like he was too important to not have in an everyday lineup at this point, or just a part of every day's game, at this point.
@MLBNetwork The injuries across the league for pitchers is alarming (over 2 dozen). Yesavage said he knew right before camp something was wrong. What type of training is being done in the offseason, is it too much strain on some pitchers? Shoulder impingement isn't just a bruise.
@AllBannerSports He knows that the division is a beast. They tied with the Yankees and were two up on Boston. Not a run away of any sorts. Barely got by Seattle, bad coaching on the Mariners to pull the pitcher before Springer HR.
@FAmmiranteTFJ The Union wants all players to get the most money they can, as it helps the collective and future contracts. If Bassitt took 12 million to stay and the union found out he could have gotten more, problems.
@jaysschneider He chose to go. If he wanted to stay a Jay, he would have. In the end, the player makes the decision. Would love him in Jays roster but he is gone, time to move on.
@JGoldberg12 Do you believe he is better offensively for a year than having Loperfido, Lukes, Scheider or Straw hit ahead of him. League minimum for a year not worth a chance?
