But as I understand it MOONCOIN is becoming the first ever onchain DAT for SPCX.

MOONCOIN trading fees are routed into a vault that accumulates SPCX. Users burn MOONCOIN to mint ORBIT, permanently removing that MOONCOIN from circulation.

The new piece is lending.

ORBIT can now be used as collateral to borrow SPCX. So while MOONCOIN is being burned on one side, fresh SPCX liquidity can enter the system on the other and potentially flow back into MOONCOIN.
