I truly think that’s why successful movies these days are the ones that hit childhood nostalgia, have extraordinary budgets, it’s the only way media houses can compete with short form content. It’s hard for a movie to compare with original stories from a youtuber.

movies aren’t culturally impactful anymore, we at least relative to 2 decades ago. It’s now easy to be a storyteller now with digital social media now, the average consumer watches 300 different movies a day on each app.
