@objectinspace@macroschema A weird error, the language spoken in that part of GB, Upper Ghizer, is Khowar. The main language of neigjbouring Chitral, KP.
@avzaagzonunaada In Khowar the word for sprouted wheat is shoshp. Maize is Juwari, which i think comes from the Pashto pronunciation for jowar (millet). Corn/maize has only been around in Chitral since about 1890, so its a relatively new introduction.
@huss72901886@Sia_Goosh@NaveedSavul@Jaferii The Garam Chashma Road is an NHA project, Federal Govwrnment, but I have gotten an NOC and Included the Shoghore to Garam Chashma portion the ADB Rural Road project, should start this year. The Arkari road is also in the same package
@avzaagzonunaada@Social__eclipse Yes, particulalry in Upper Chitral. In some parts of Lower Chitral its called shupinak shapik. We also have another version with a white sauce made of atta, milk and butter instead of cheese called cheer aa shapik.
@avzaagzonunaada@Social__eclipse In Chitral Ghalmandi is made with shupinak, a fresher and lighter firm of paneer, similar to American cottage cheese. Either walnut oil or desi ghee is used instead of apricot oil.
@NaveedSavul@Jaferii@Sia_Goosh Siraj-ul-Mulk is not the Wali of Chitral (the actual title is Mehtar), the last one before the state was merged was my father. Now I wear the pagri.
My resolution asking the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to initiate a renewable energy program to generate 1000 MW of hydro, solar and wind power. Inshallah it will be included in this year's Annual Development Plan.
@avzaagzonunaada All the Caribbean South American sugarcane shipped over in vast quantities made sugar a staple. Where in other parts of the world it remained a luxury or seasonal ingredient.
@CultureExploreX@onantisland It is one if the core values of Buddhism too, which was probably the faith followed by the one who inscribed that etching.
Passed a resolution in the KP Assembly that urges the Government of KP to approve a hybrid renewable energy progran producing 1000 MW from hydro, solar and wind power. This is a province wide initiative with hydro and wind in the North and solar paower from the Southern Districts
The Standing Committee on Revenue & Estate of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, of which I have the honour of being Chairman, reviewed and approved a bill on the establishment of special Courts for Overseas Pakistanis.
@avzaagzonunaada The Khowar word is okhchz, with a kh in the middle amd the chz sound at the end. Younger people have stopped pronouncing it in the correct form amd now say ohz. Unfortunately Khowar pronunciation is being simplified.
@MuzzammilAslam3 Sir please allocate reasonable funding for renewable energy projects in our province, hydro and wind in the north and solar in the south. We can very easily generate thousands of megawatts of clean energy and be self sufficient.
@AsmakLone Eastern Nuristan was effectively part of Chitral for two centuries before its conquest by Amir Abdur Rahman in 1895. The Bashgal people (Barge Matal and Kamdesh) paid agricultural taxes to the Katoor Mehtars and fought for us in our wars with Badakhshan and our Khoshwaqt kinsmen.
@mustafa_nawazk Islamabad should have a legislative assembly and government of its own, it has a larger population than Gilgit Baltistan which has had an assembly/council since the 70s.
@ephebos_@avzaagzonunaada@talhaahmad127 I'm a politician, a member of the provincial legislature of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa representing Lower Chitral. I am also the ceremonial Mehtar, heir to the last ruler of Chitral when it was a princely state. Linguistics, history and archaeology are my interests but no free time now!
