I know that @RockstarGames is not the best at giving info. However, I do wish they would come out and clarify the topic of “will there be a physical copy of the game at all?” I think consumers should be able to at least have that info.
I’m feeling a little gutted about the disc situation now everything has settled. The reason I like discs is because they come with the “gold” version that can be played offline.
Just to give an example here, RDR2 on disc comes with an August 2018 build. A lot of the UI in the gold version is a bit different compared to the final day-one patch version, and it’s strictly single player only with no online anywhere, but it can be a buggy version. It’s like a weird combo of being a beta and final version. Many tweaks were made in the day one patch.
The other problem with GTAVI, the music licences will not last forever. Some songs can be removed if Rockstar chooses not to renew or has issues with a music distribution company.
Fingers crossed the game will get a full disc version after launch. I’m sadly sticking with digital (which wasn’t my intended plan - was hoping to go to a midnight launch)
Clever easter egg from Rockstar in the Morgan Revolvers GTA 6 screenshot.

The release dates of GTA Vice City & Vice City Stories.
with GTA6 launching as an all-digital affair, I can't help but think back on how fun midnight releases were.
Here's me interviewing people at midnight events ~14 years ago during Mass Effect 3, Gears of War, and Uncharted 3😮I've been doing this forever and I miss this part.
GTA 6 will not sell Online separately, this is a baseless rumor with no evidence in reality.
Here’s the reality: RDR2 & GTA 5 launched as single player experiences, and got Online in a FREE update post launch.
NOTHING indicates a diff approach with GTA 6, quit fear mongering.
