Today, the Maldives makes history. 🇲🇻
We are proud to be the first country in the world to achieve 'triple elimination' of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B.
It is a remarkable milestone officially recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO).
My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all health professionals, communities, and partners whose unwavering dedication made this historic achievement possible.

On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, we stand with all those affected by conflict, crisis, and displacement across the globe, especially women and children who are often the most vulnerable in these situations.
Too often, mental health is overlooked in emergencies, when it is needed the most. Today we must remember that mental health is not a luxury; it is a human right.
In every emergency, care must include compassion, healing, and mental health support.
On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we reaffirm mental health as a human right and a national priority, especially in times of crisis. This year’s theme, “Mental Health in Humanitarian Emergencies,” calls for urgent global action, particularly for the people of Palestine, where mental health support remains critically lacking.
This administration is committed to reform by integrating mental health into emergency responses for climate, health, and humanitarian crises. We believe mental well-being is the foundation of thriving individuals, families, and nations.
