سندھ حکومت کے محکمہ کھیل و امورِ نوجوانان کی میزبانی میں یومِ اقوامِ متحدہ کے موقع پر یوتھ ڈویلپمنٹ سینٹر کراچی میں ایک پروقار تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس میں خاتونِ اول آصفہ بھٹو زرداری نے خصوصی شرکت کی۔ خاتونِ اول آصفہ بھٹو زرداری نے اقوامِ متحدہ کے مختلف اداروں، محکمہ کھیل و امورِ نوجوانان سندھ اور دیگر سرکاری محکموں کی جانب سے قائم کیے گئے اسٹالز کا دورہ کیا اور وہاں پیش کی جانے والی سرگرمیوں، منصوبوں اور عوامی خدمات میں دلچسپی کا اظہار کیا۔

اس موقع پر صوبائی وزیر سعید غنی، میئر کراچی مرتضیٰ وہاب، چیئرمین پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ بورڈ سید نجم شاہ، سیکریٹری کھیل و امورِ نوجوانان منور علی مہیسر، ڈائریکٹر کھیل اسد اسحاق اور دیگر اعلیٰ حکام بھی موجود تھے۔ تقریب میں اقوامِ متحدہ کے مختلف اداروں نے تعلیم، صحت، نوجوانوں کی ترقی، موسمیاتی تبدیلی، انسانی حقوق، سماجی بہبود اور پائیدار ترقی کے حوالے سے اپنی سرگرمیوں اور منصوبوں کو اجاگر کیا۔ یو این پاکستان کی کنٹری ہیڈ نے یومِ اقوامِ متحدہ کی تقریب کے انعقاد اور بہترین انتظامات پر سندھ حکومت اور محکمہ کھیل و امورِ نوجوانان سندھ کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے اقوامِ متحدہ کے مختلف اداروں کو اپنی سرگرمیاں اور خدمات عوام کے سامنے پیش کرنے کے لیے پلیٹ فارم فراہم کرنے اور تقریب کے کامیاب انعقاد میں سندھ حکومت کے تعاون کو سراہا۔ یومِ اقوامِ متحدہ کے سلسلے میں منعقدہ اس تقریب میں شہریوں، نوجوانوں، بچوں اور خاندانوں نے ہزاروں کی تعداد میں شرکت کی اور مختلف اداروں کی جانب سے لگائے گئے اسٹالز کا دورہ کیا۔ شہریوں کی بڑی تعداد نے مختلف سرگرمیوں میں گہری دلچسپی کا اظہار کیا۔

تقریب کا مقصد اقوامِ متحدہ اور اس کے مختلف اداروں کی خدمات، عالمی تعاون، امن، ترقی اور عوامی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے جاری اقدامات سے شہریوں کو آگاہ کرنا، بالخصوص نوجوانوں کو مثبت سرگرمیوں اور ترقی کے مواقع سے روشناس کرانا ��ھا۔ سندھ حکومت کے محکمہ کھیل و امورِ نوجوانان کی میزبانی میں منعقدہ اس تقریب نے سرکاری اداروں، اقوامِ متحدہ کے مختلف اداروں اور عوام کے درمیان رابطوں کو فروغ دینے اور نوجوانوں کو عالمی ترقیاتی اہداف سے روشناس کرانے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا۔
