Today, I welcomed our new Deputy Minister to @GAC_Corporate. I previously had the opportunity to work with Arun Thangaraj at Transport Canada, and I’m pleased to be working together again as we advance Canada’s interests on the world stage. Welcome to the team, Arun!
Black History Month is a time to recognize the lived, shared experience of all Black folks who have fundamentally shaped, challenged, and ultimately strengthened America. It’s about taking an unvarnished look at the past so that we can create a better future. As we mark 100 years of celebrating Black history, let’s honor the sacrifices of the leaders who came before us, and recommit ourselves to continuing their work.
The history of Black Canadians is one of relentless progress, earned through perseverance, and carried forward by opening doors for so many to follow.
This week, we celebrated 30 years of Black History Month in Canada.
