@DanielTrain5@BretWeinstein The United States overthrew the government of Iran in 1953, and put their own government in its place. After the revolution, we gave Iraq (Saddam Hussein) weapons and the components for chemical weapons so he could invade Iran. Up to half a million Iranians died in that war
@Ryan_Driggs@BretWeinstein I'll say according to wikipedia, civilizations end when their population centers are abandoned or absorbed into a larger civilization. You could argue that the bolsheviks tried to end Russian civilization, but in the end it outlived the bolsheviks
@DanielTrain5@BretWeinstein Your metaphor is incomplete. It doesn't mention that you shot his cousin and pets, took over his house temporarily, paid another neighbor to try and kill him, and then he threatened to kill you. Doesn't mean acting on his threats world be justified, but maybe he's not the problem
@Ryan_Driggs@BretWeinstein What you're referring to are governments, which are an aspect of civilization but don't define a civilization. Civilization refers to a much broader idea that involves government, culture, people, and economic activities. Russian and German civilization did not end on those dates
@PitMaster49 @UpdatingOnRome Turn based map with real time battles? Empire or Shogun 2 Total War. Real time map with turn based battles? Battle Brothers
@smalls2672 Pretty sure that guy is legally privileged to use non lethal force to compel a trespasser to leave. Not only are they trespassing, but I think technically converting his property. Still a jerk I guess, but it's his pond
@justice_Tyr22 Those days are over. Iran probably has hundreds of missiles and thousands of drones. They aren't trying to invent a harder rock anymore. They are trying to invent paper.
