The scenes in Belfast last night were shocking and completely unacceptable.

There is no justification for the violence and disorder that we saw threatening our communities, nor for those who encouraged it, online or elsewhere.

It is clear that people were targeted last night because of their background and I will not tolerate it. Those responsible will feel the full force of the law.

I’ve spoken to the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland to convey my thanks to them and the frontline emergency services for their bravery in keeping people safe. I’ve also spoken to the First Minister and Deputy First Minister to discuss the ongoing situation.

Appealing for calm must be the priority, and that is what I urge now. We must let the police get on with their work.

🚨👮 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢 — La maire du 10ᵉ arrondissement, Alexandra Cordebard, ainsi que la Ville de Paris ont annoncé PORTER PLAINTE.

Peu avant 19h, des militants de Civitas, dissous par le gouvernement en octobre 2023, ont tenté d’empêcher l’ouverture de l’église Saint-Laurent pour l’installation de l’événement dans le cadre de la 25e Nuit Blanche, dont Barbara Butch, qui avait OCCUPÉ la place du Christ dans « La Cène » lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture des JO de Paris 2024, est la directrice de cette édition.

Le projet, qui a investi plusieurs églises parisiennes avec des installations « immersives et expérimentales », a bénéficié d’un budget de 1,3 million d’euros D’ARGENT PUBLIC, dont 42 000 € prévus pour la rémunération de Barbara Butch.

Après cette première action, les militants ont organisé une PRIÈRE de rue aux abords de l’édifice.

Présente sur place, la maire Alexandra Cordebard affirme dans un post sur X avoir été BOUSCULÉE et avoir reçu des coups de la part de ces individus, qui tentaient de les empêcher d’entrer.

Dans un communiqué, la Ville de Paris a donc annoncé PORTER PLAINTE contre ces « militants d’extrême droite ».
