Many years as an Occupational Therapist, and I hadn't heard of the high mortality rate with Nursing Home Relocation Transfer Trauma (nursing home to nursing home). I was aware of Relocation Stress Syndrome during almost any residence move.

Me: “I’m not.”
Hospital: “But you’re in a wheelchair.”
Me: “I use a wheelchair. I’m not bound to it.”
Hospital: “Sorry. It’s a common term of usage.”

No one is bound to a wheelchair.
“Common usage” is sometimes offensive.
