I have Covid again & I yesterday was back to work (day 6) following my 5 day quarantine. Tested + w/in 15 seconds. My students are freaked out that I still have Covid & jump away every time I cough. I don’t blame them. I still feel sick & shitty. @CDCDirector
@ChristinaHaas17 @BetteMidler Yup. I had 2 emergency surgeries & multiple transfusions after almost bleeding to death when my 2nd was born. Developed sepsis. Was fighting for my life in ICU; formula came in pretty handy for my spouse & mom caring for my newborn.
@EzraTank@timcarvell@BetteMidler Imagine how my friends, a gay couple, have adopted three drug addicted, neglected babies out of the foster care system & are currently fostering (& relying on formula for) a 4th infant. I guess you’d prefer these kids languish in the system.
@DrLeanaWen@CNN@katiahetter Kind of odd you used the hashtag adenovirus, without also using a Covid hashtag. We don’t know the origin yet but it’s being suggested it’s Covid. Seems like you’re trying to lead the research to a specific conclusion.

@FranCresswell Reading comments w/interest. 17 mo out this is still a huge problem for me, though improving (@ 1 point I couldn’t drive & struggled w/word recall). I agree w/rest & small, intentional cognitive stimulation like wordle etc. My goal is to once again be able to read for pleasure.
@jemillerwbal Selfishly, your experience makes me feel better. 15 months out these are my symptoms too. My myocarditis has resolved, thankfully, but my energy levels suck & I have to ration my activities or my muscle pain & cramping worsen dramatically.
@ashishkjha Furthermore, multiple states concluded schools were a major source of spread. Anyone denying that is ignoring the plain facts for a political agenda. Spending 6-7 hrs indoors in close contact w/dozens (or hundreds of ppl/day), removing masks to eat & drink is HOW Covid spreads.
@ashishkjha “We haven’t seen a lot of spread in schools” is patently untrue. I got C-19 WHILE teaching. RI DOH NEVER contacted me to trace. Schools were overwhelmed & unable to keep up w/tracing. CDC changing definition of “close contact” to 3 ft, unmasked, conveniently hid cases.
@SIGILUX@Boiler725@Survivor_Corps@dianaberrent@VirusesImmunity@ABC Just wondering: did you get sick from your booster itself? I had 103 fever, convulsive shakes, severe body aches (like could hardly walk) & vomiting. I wonder sometimes if the severity of my booster reaction was somehow connected to the resurgence.
@ProfEmilyOster You have NO idea of the conditions on the ground in the public schools & frankly no right to opine about issues you’re not familiar with. There is very little learning taking place in my school rn BECAUSE of Covid. A pivot to remote for 3-5 weeks could have avoided all this.
@ProfEmilyOster You know what’s a disgrace? No nurse in my school. Kids experiencing subs 5/7 classes bc so many Ts out w/Covid. Kids being warehoused w/massive groups in auditoriums all day long bc not enough staff. 8/29 of my students in class bc so many kids have Covid.
When “complicated for kids”
is a euphemism for “unsafe” but you won’t say that bc you’re invested in the Brown University narrative of KEEP SCHOOLS OPEN AT ALL COSTS
