@ASALAgriGrowth@Kenyans It's like 39-41 degrees here currently and the houses are constructed to retain heat due to winter. So combination of trapped heat + no ACs is really crazy. Added to the fact that jua comes in (with heat) at like 4:30 am and sets at 10 pm ish. So that combination is very crazy.
A family in Kariobangi South is desperately searching for their two young children who went missing on Wednesday at around 5:00pm.
The boy is 4 years old, while the girl is only 2. They were last seen holding hands near Kwa Chief in Kariobangi South. Their loved ones are pleading with anyone around Kwa Chief, Civo, Buruburu, 56 or nearby areas who may have seen them to report to the nearest police station or contact the family immediately via 0711569605 / 0742829805.
Every share could help bring these little ones back home safely. Please keep an eye out, share widely, and keep the family in your prayers. 🙏

Coptic Hospital is under fire for detaining a woman in the hospital for over six months after her medical bill rose to KSh 3 million, an amount she cannot afford. The woman is reportedly being held at the hospital together with her newborn baby.
I've just watched this painful report on Citizen TV from Nyamira.
A child did everything right, yet the system did everything wrong against her.
Sylvia Nyaboke sat her KJSEA exams. In the exam room, her name was missing. On the papers, her name was missing. She raised the alarm and was told, “It’s a small issue.”
Today, that “small issue” has stolen her results, paused her future, and locked her out of Grade 10.
She is now being asked to continue schooling without results, to walk for two years in faith, only to be told at the end that it was all in vain.
Even more troubling, the Nyamira education office reportedly told her that if she chooses to stop school, she is “free.”
A nation that treats a child’s future this lightly should pause and reflect.
The Ministry of Education must intervene immediately.

URGENT: Kenya's Healthcare Sovereignty Under Siege
President Ruto is about to sign away Kenya's health data sovereignty through a fundamentally unconstitutional agreement with the US Government.
THE SMOKING GUN:
I have obtained three explosive documents:
1. Model Specimen Sharing Agreement
2. PEPFAR Bilateral MOU Template
3. Legal Advisory by Dr. Mugambi Laibuta proving this violates Kenyan law
HERE'S WHAT RUTO IS SIGNING:
REAL-TIME SURVEILLANCE OF ALL KENYANS
US gets 24/7 access to Kenya's ENTIRE national health database
Every HIV test, TB diagnosis, malaria case - accessible to US officials
Your medical records, your children's health data - all exposed
NO anonymization required
NO consent from you
NO restrictions on what they can see
YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS? GONE.
Legal analysis confirms this violates:
Article 31: Your Right to Privacy - VIOLATED
Kenya Data Protection Act - COMPLETELY IGNORED
Health Act confidentiality provisions - BYPASSED
Digital Health Act - RENDERED USELESS
THE MOST DANGEROUS CLAUSE:
"This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with U.S. federal law."
Read that again. US law - not Kenyan law - will govern YOUR health data.
This means:
Office of Data Protection Commissioner: POWERLESS
Kenyan courts: NO JURISDICTION
Your data protection rights: DON'T EXIST
US has weaker privacy laws than Kenya: YOUR DATA LESS PROTECTED
IT GETS WORSE:
25-YEAR PATHOGEN EXTRACTION
Kenya must hand over disease specimens within 5 DAYS of US request
US shares with 10 private American pharmaceutical companies. They develop vaccines and drugs from OUR diseases. Kenya gets NOTHING guaranteed in return. US serves its own needs first. 25 YEARS of this arrangement
COUNTY GOVERNMENTS LOCKED OUT
Health is devolved - counties run these systems
Counties haven't been consulted
This violates Intergovernmental Relations Act
FINANCIAL BLACKMAIL BUILT IN:
"Failure to fulfill commitments could result in changes in planned assistance or discontinuation of this MOU."
Translation: Give us your data or lose funding.
WHAT THEY GET ACCESS TO:
Not just statistics. Not just aggregated data. They get:
Direct system access to query ANY patient record.
Rights to audit 5% of health facilities randomly selected
Access to lab results, treatment records, epidemiological data
Metadata and system architecture
Real-time disease surveillance
All diagnostic and testing data
50+ MILLION KENYANS' MEDICAL PRIVACY - GONE.
DR. MUGAMBI LAIBUTA'S LEGAL VERDICT:
"This Agreement, as drafted, is NOT legally compliant, poses CRITICAL constitutional and sovereignty risks, and must be SIGNIFICANTLY renegotiated before Kenya can lawfully sign or operationalize it."
THE BOTTOM LINE:
This is not cooperation. This is:
Data extraction disguised as aid.
Biopiracy of our pathogens for pharmaceutical profit.
Surveillance infrastructure embedded in our health systems.
Constitutional rights traded for donor dollars.
25 years of compromised sovereignty.
OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES ARE SAYING NO
The template shows this is being pushed across Africa. Reasonable countries are rejecting these terms. But Ruto, desperate for any "investment" narrative, is ready to sign away our most sensitive data.
WHAT MUST HAPPEN NOW:
This cannot be signed as drafted. The Constitution doesn't allow it. The law doesn't permit it. Our dignity as a sovereign nation demands better.
We need:
IMMEDIATE PUBLIC DISCLOSURE - Full text published
COUNTY CONSULTATION - Governors must weigh in
PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE - MPs must approve or reject
ODPC REVIEW - Data Protection Commissioner must audit for compliance
COMPLETE RENEGOTIATION - Fair terms or no deal
You cannot sign agreements that violate the Constitution. This is not about being anti-partnership. This is about protecting Kenyan citizens' rights and maintaining our sovereignty.
My people, something deeply disturbing has happened in Mombasa, and we cannot stay silent.
This week, a 5-year-old girl named Khairun Hassan tragically lost her life under very unclear circumstances at a madrassa inside a mosque in Leisure, Nyali.
The story being given by the imam and the mosque administration has serious gaps:
They claim the little girl "made a mistake" and, as punishment, the imam locked her alone in a room.
While crying and in distress, she reportedly climbed onto something, fell (or jumped) from a height inside the room/madrassa.
Moments later, the child was found with fatal injuries, and the explanation being offered simply does not make sense.
What followed raises even more alarm:
The burial was rushed the same day, using Islam as a basis
No postmortem
No proper medical examination
And reliable sources say that although the case was reported to DCI Mombasa, there are strong efforts to derail the investigation
The father is reportedly being pressured to drop the case and "leave it to Allah"
My people, how do we accept this?
In a country where we have seen cases of boys, girls, men, and women being assaulted and then thrown off a building to the ground to make it appear that they committed suicide, this whole situation looks fishy
How does a 5y old end up locked alone as punishment? Why did the imam do that
How does a 5yr old throw herself from top of a room that she had been locked inside alone?
Why was no postmortem done?
Why silence a grieving father and sweep everything under the carpet?
This is not normal.
This is not Islamic.
This is not right.
We demand:
An immediate, independent investigation by DCI and child protection authorities
A proper postmortem if necessary
Full transparency and accountability from the mosque leadership
A child’s life has been lost in a place that was supposed to protect her.
Justice for Khairun Hassan.
We will not let her voice be buried.
My people, please share, tag the authorities, and raise your voices until the truth comes out.
If anyone would have told my dad that he would be at Kingongo remand at 69 years old, he would have called you mad. In September it's when my dad got into a police for the 1st time ever. If we don't fix the Kenyan justice system, you will be next one to be picked by Kenyan DCi
Long thread alert, this is a very personal story. If you see it please RT.
One day, you are out with friends and you receive a call that your 69-year-old dad, a retired surveyor, has been arrested for murder.
I've always had a crooked smile...I love it, but it has led to me getting bullied as a child and even as an adult!🥲
I'd really hoped to get it corrected soon... but I still can't afford it.
So please, help give me a more beautiful smile by liking and retweeting this post🥹
