@DrJenGunter Disney Pixar is a fallback, especially if I don’t want stress. Comedies are often safe. But when I’ve picked things I wanted to see, but missed on first release, I’ve found myself blubbering in my seat when I wasn’t necessarily expecting it. (Everything, Everywhere, All at Once)

@HoegLaw It annoys me that modern political wings try to claim they represent the philosophy of an individual who was a product of his time and particular circumstances. Poor Tolkien would likely be bemused at bizarre world we live in…the cheese has slid off the cracker for Left & Right.

@RickAddante @voxdotcom NOT an allegory (Tolkien clearly was not a fan of that literary approach), but inspired. C.S Lewis did have a more allegorical style.

@TolkienWorldG This was very Peter Jackson and not very Tolkien. Overall, I think it was a misstep, but doesn’t ruin the movie for me.
