Of the 10 states with abortion rights on the ballot, seven were passed.
Three didn't pass: Florida, Nebraska and North Dakota.
A clear majority supported abortion rights in Florida but it didn't clear the 60% threshold. This means the closest states where Floridian women can obtain an abortion are North Carolina and Virginia, hundreds of miles away.
The state's six week abortion ban is transforming health care in the state with heartbreaking, perverse and tragic outcomes in every direction. Now, as we reported last Friday, the situation is likely to get worse still 👇
New - this is simply remarkable. New data shows 42% of private school kids now get extra time with exams (compared with 26% in state schools). @bphillipsonMP wants to know why. Great story by Kieran Smith and Amy Borrett https://t.co/8zH7ygaeAb
The Russian attack on Kyiv has been going on for seven hours now. There is destruction in most areas. One is close to my home. Many people have been evacuated from their homes and from one hospital. The attack is still ongoing.
As I listen to the sounds of drones, I’m reading how Americans are relieved there won’t be WW3. To stop the spread of war, people need to stop the country that’s attacking, not destroy one of the countries that are being attacked 🤦🏼♀️
The scences from Valencia were awful last week, horrific.
It happens to be the home of @octopusenergy in Spain (@OctopusEnergyES).
This is the street where our main warehouse/depot is - and I'm going to share some of the messages from our team there. It's soberingly awful

@flint_writes Agreed. I want to admire her achievement as the first black woman to lead a major political party but she is dreadful. So arrogant, sneery and dismissive of other points of view. Can’t see her winning an election.
Her life is in danger.
Ahoo Daryaei is the student who took off her clothes in protest against the mysogeny and oppression of the vice police of the ayatollahs.
They arrested her and she has been missing ever since.
Where is Ahoo Daryaei ?
We demand her immediate release.
Say her name!

Two women have died in Texas in the last month because complications from miscarriages and failure to promptly provide the requisite medical treatment. This is because of Donald Trump’s Supreme Court overturning 5 decades of precedent. Vote for Kamala Harris to save women’s lives.
Last night, Russia terrorized Ukraine with over 50 strike drones, and over the past week, it has used more than 900 bombs, around 30 missiles, and nearly 500 “Shaheds” against various regions of Ukraine.
Most of these strikes have targeted civilian and critical infrastructure.
All of these attacks would have been impossible if we had sufficient support from the world in crucial areas: long-range capabilities for our security, truly effective sanctions to prevent Russia from importing critical components for drone and missile production—especially microelectronics—and political decisions that could ruin Russia’s will to wage this war. Ukraine deserves the same strong security as all our partners in the free world.
In Iran, a student harassed by her university’s morality police over her “improper” hijab didn’t back down. She turned her body into a protest, stripping to her underwear and marching through campus—defying a regime that constantly controls women’s bodies. Her act is a powerful reminder of Iranian women’s fight for freedom. Yes we use our bodies like weapons to fight back a regime that kills women for showing their hair.
This happened at Tehran’s Science and Research University She has since been arrested by the authorities.
Be her voice.
