FOR SUCCESS, STUDENTS NEED:
•9+ hours of sleep
•Proper nutrition (limit sugar)
•Limit absences from school
•Limit screen time (social media, video games, TV)
•30+ min of daily exercise
•Emotional Availability (someone to talk to)
•Challenges (an opportunity to fail)
Students who didn’t want to go to university used to be able to chose applied classes.
Now they get to be in larger classes and follow the more challenging academic curriculum.
De-streaming was always about cutting jobs and funding to #onted.
Unpaid apprenticeships anyone?
Does any other teacher feel like the pandemic has conditioned parents and students to feel like attendance is optional? I’ve never had so many student absences.
