@NGG_author Kiyomi Ina. Ina is a rice plant. Kiyomi means heavenly beauty. Additionally, her pet name by Terra, her love interest is Miyo (beautiful child). Terra's a fallen angel.
@Kiraofthewind1 Kiyomi isn't sure (part of her arc to find herself). since she's half Lycan, as Alpha she's automatically in the top tier of the pecking order. As a woman, she's charged with minding the home (which she doesn't mind too much). She's too much the introvert to enjoy it.
@WritesJodi Depends on how I feel about the character and their relationships with those around them. In this one story, I introduced an awesome character from the start, the best friend of the MC. Only to put him in a coma, kill off her aunt (last living relative of MC). And it tore me up.
@CMatthewsImages Anywhere she finds herself surrounded by her family, books she hasn't read yet, and a project to keep her busy. Though a stiff drink and some good food tossed in the mix wouldn't hurt.
Alright. So it's the last day of NaNoWriMo. How'd I do? Well, a beautiful mess. I didn't get more than ten words on Altar Of Warlords, but I finished the first draft to a Star Wars story about Twi'leks (one a Sith, the other a Jedi), I wrote three chapters for a RWBY fanfic too.
@RosalynBriar Pregnancy? Historically people would drink specific teas on certain days when they were trying not to get pregnant. Ginger tea, for one. Given how common families with 7 kids was, I don't believe it for a second. So I'd let nature take its course, even if it's my MC.
@whomstwrotethis That's definitely something you need to figure out. If you don't know, you can't write a convincing 'falling in love' subplot.
Tips? He reminds her of someone precious (father, brother, friend). She's used to expecting the worse, and he keeps offering his best.
@whomstwrotethis But more importantly, to me at least. Are they trying to become each other's friend? You can't spell girlfriend, without friend. So what do they have in common?
What do they bring to the table? There should be roughly equal baggage and equal input from both sides.
@whomstwrotethis I'd like to think it's about how they interact. If they're in a safe environment, do they bicker? Do they pay each other constant and over the top compliments? Do they continually exchange innuendos?
Is there sexual tension? Constant glances at the other's lips?
