I want to thank everyone for getting out and seeing @_PrimitiveWar this weekend.

Reactions across socials have been truly amazing to see come in. Thank YOU! I think word of mouth is just ramping up.

A lot of people asking why the limited release? Well, being a true indie, I shopped footage around all the way through and even up to just a few months ago. I don’t think studios knew what to make of it, OR the offers were so one sided that we wouldn’t have seen anything and that’s not fair to the amazing financiers that backed this.

The fathom team have been huge champions of the film, but the selection of screening locations were based on pre sales- which I knew this wouid be a ‘wait and see ‘ or ‘word of mouth’ film.

What it HAS proven, is the film works. People want something like this. Something old school with no modern messages. I knew it would.
We’ll start launching it international asap. And it’s a big part of our digital release to have it open on a few hundred screens to build that momentum, which is only getting bigger each day.

We don’t need to make back some $200m huge budget plus marketing. So for us it was always grass roots.

I see fans out there tagging like Jeremy Jahns , Chris stuckman, @TheCriticalDri2 and others to get the word out there. Please keep doing that to build awareness !

Everyone should see Primitive War. An excellent film about the Vietnam War and dinosaurs. The craziest thing is how well this seemingly absurd concept is pulled off in a believable way with excellent performances and effects with a minimal budget.
