It was the much hyped, dreadfully boring Nosferatu. Beyond the meticulous sets, the film is plodding, filled with nonsensical and uneven performances— and just a miserable (and disgusting) ride. See the OG Dracula or Francis Copolla’s remake for a far better take on the tale. This one is just a rip off of the original Nosferatu with no panache or insight. Like Joker, the filmmakers took a familiar character and created something so dark and inaccessible that everyone feels drained when it ends—and not only the vampires victims. Or maybe the audience is the true victim. 🧛🏻‍♂️
