Set in the sunny South East in picturesque countryside Ferns is located on the N11 & home of Ferns Tidy Town who focus on presenting the village at its best.
We eventually put the heritage planters in place at St. Mogue’s well! Mary couldn’t wait to get them planted up! Juniper trees took central stage surrounded by pollinator friendly Lavenders and golden Carex grasses. 💜💛 @PollinatorPlan#tidytowns
A wonderful array of Summer colour spotted around the village this evening. The wildflowers growing alongside the pollinator friendly planting is a haven for our bees and other pollinators. 🌺🐝🌸🐝🦋🐞🌼
We are incredibly grateful to all those who supported #NoMowMay. No Mow May is over, but that doesn’t mean you have to start cutting regularly again.Mowing less from April until September is one of the best ways you can help pollinators. Jeep the buzz going with #LetItBloomJune
Frank and Mary had another busy evening putting up the last of the hanging baskets. The entrance to #FernsCastle and visitor centre was adorned with beautiful baskets full of Summer colour. The baskets and half barrel planters looked spectacular with Nepeta in full bloom #bees

Thanks to Enniscorthy District Manager Claire Lawless and Cllr. Aidan Browne for meeting us yesterday to discuss the ongoing problems we are experiencing around the village. One such problem was the flooding at St. Mogue’s well. We are delighted to say it has now been rectified.
Four of our volunteers Angie, Mary, Bernie and Rose headed out bright and early on Tuesday morning and evening to weed and tidy up the large landscaped area on the Enniscorthy Road. After several hours of weeding, digging, and edging they had the area transformed
@Ferns_CFR honoured to be in receipt of a letter of commendation and recognition from the @AmbulanceNAS for their actions and outstanding efforts for their service to the community and wider health service @CFRIreland#CPRSavesLives

The Beech hedge planted by our volunteers to hide the unsightly boundary wall along the church grounds is thriving. Just look at the difference it’s making to the area already. Thanks to @wexfordcoco for providing the Beech saplings under the ‘free trees for Wexford scheme’.
