Tbh, my issue with Ghana is our inability to progress the ball and sustain possession in advanced areas. We have the profiles to play expansive, positional football, yet every coach we appoint seems wedded to low-risk, transition-based football. I’m so tired of this.

@Efson_@CFCElorm Because South Korea and Scotland have already played their group games and ended with 3 points.Algeria play a very good Austrian side. We should only be worried if:New Zealand beat Belgium and Egypt lose to Iran and/or Saudi beat Cape Verde by at least a 5 goal margin while(1/2)
It’s very on-brand for Tuchel to use direct balls and pacey wingers(and sometimes 10s) to stretch the defence and create gaps for Kane or midfield runners to attack.

I feel like there are three main ways England can hurt Ghana.
1. Set pieces
Pretty straightforward. England are dangerous from set pieces and Ghana need to be switched on.
2. Harry Kane dropping deep and dragging our CBs out(1/2)
3. This is quite a niche one, but I noticed Tuchel used to do this a lot at Chelsea: wide decoy runs before going long to create space in behind and/or between the centre-backs.
