What’s become abundantly clear is that society as a whole still doesn’t take anti-Asian hate seriously.
The amount of pushback I see still is really disheartening. It’s the same old, “shut up, it’s just a joke”, or “stop complaining”.
To me, it’s not about:
Whether we SHOULD act on racial justice, but will we?
Whether we SHOULD act on climate change, but will we?
Whether we SHOULD act on Medicare for all, but will we?
By now, we know what the problems are. But will we act on the solutions?

Intergenerational conversations can be hard. Ones with family can be even harder. Grateful that leaders like @SamuelJHyun and others are willing to do the hard work at home to help elders in our community find their voice to address racism. #bospoli https://t.co/cBo4eLvYUp
Who are the people who murdered 215 children? Who are the people killing hundreds and hundreds of indigenous women who go missing week after week- year after year? The Catholic Church is diabolical. Canada- all of us- has looked the other way too bloody long. #shameofthecentury
