Every small recovery step forward is a refusal to let others' actions continue programming our lives.
At the highest levels of performance, devotion beats discipline. Always.
Discipline is built off shame.
Devotion is built off love.

We can use anger to set boundaries and protect our recovery values. Its a fuel we can use to consistently turn to healing, so f*ck βem, we ain't abandoning ourselves.
A spite recovery can still be a good recovery.

Emotions are important messages, they are worth are attention and reflection.
@newstart_2024 Now imagine actually doing any of these, not just reading off a list. There's a chasm between borrowed insight and habits of mind that's getting missed here. Cognitive bypassing is a thing.
