@only1scratch@ufl_scorigami Indeed it did.
On March 15, 2008, the Georgia Force defeated the Los Angeles Avengers 58-34.

So the post is wrong.
@joey_zana — I think that you said on a @BaseballUnited broadcast that Alex Liddi is the first Italian-born player in the Majors. In fact Liddi is the 7th of eight Italians, but the first since the 1950s.

Anyway, you did very nice work on the series.
@MarkGortonNYC This was a long hard fight. And it's only a partial victory, as the congestion pricing fee should be ten times what it is.
Still, it's one small step towards reclaiming our City for our people.
@EBalnar@mdixonair@MelbourneAces@ABL@Max_Tanzer@AdelaideGiants Thanks for the great work. A request: can you get the Giants to stop playing the "boring" sound clip at pick-off attempts? In the recent series there were moments with Hulsizer and Carr on base that were very tense.
One more request: please pronounce "versus" with two syllables.
I was sad when my favourite announcer Michael Dixon @mdixonair left the @MelbourneAces of the @ABL; young @Max_Tanzer does a very good job there as successor. For me the announcer whose work now stands out above that of all others is Eric Balnar @ebalnar of the @AdelaideGiants.
@travis_robert@NYCCouncil This is 100% correct. The goofballs who want to practice a perverse suburban lifestyle have the entirety of Idiot America to choose from. Meanwhile, we're trying to have a civilisation here.
P.S. — When the benighted Staten Island voted to secede, NYC should have said "buh-bye".
I am pleased to see @lawsonjcx Josh Lawson from House of Lies using his perfect American accent on @StDenisMedical. The annoyance that his pompous character Bruce gives to the beleaguered character Ron played by the great @DavidAlanGrier will be fun to watch.
@SchwartzSports@af1football@AF1FanZone Between the short yardlines and the theft in the "arena" (to use the term loosely), what a fiasco!
I guess the Streets went to Westchester because the rent was manageable. Do you think the American Dream Mall is realistic? Or are there college gyms that could work?
@SchwartzSports@af1football@AF1FanZone Thanks for asking about this!
Of course, we would have to have serious owners, not to mention a deal with a real arena. We don't want a repeat of the absurd experience of the New York Streets!
@travis_robert True. But let us consider that this country's electorate is uniquely bound to the backward and self-destructive orthodoxy that taxes are inherently evil. Elsewhere, people tend to grasp the reality that taxation is the means by which a people sees to its own needs.
@richmintz This is doubly so considering the many legitimate tasks for which the police's attention is needed, yet which they refuse to address: speeding, double-parking, blocking bike lanes, running red lights, ignoring stop signs, turning without signalling, opening doors without looking.
@DanClarkSports George Brett.
He's the player whom I feared most as a kid, when I was a Yankee fan. For me he's the best player of his generation, and the guy who is most likely to come through in the clutch.
@nut_history Ross Youngs. He died at age 30 of Bright's disease, after having been the Giants' star right fielder for a decade. He had a lifetime average of .322 and an on-base percentage just shy of .400, and he accumulated nearly 1500 hits in what amounted to half a career.
