You either go for the real deal 2C or stick with what you have. And Mason played with Zegras, Gauthier, Terry, etc; and his best is a kapanen rookie season. I am not sold.

I'm not making the case for Kapanen as a potential elite 2C; I am making the case between an ELC Kapanen and a 7M McTavish for 5 years. When Kapanen as a rookie, already put up McTavish's career high of 22 goals

However, if the option is Kapanen on ELC or a 7M McTavish for 5 years for marginal gain; you're better of seeing through the development of Kapanen; not many rookies; put up 20 even if it was besides Demidov

Habs are better of with a 'reclamation project' or their own team, than someone else's team.

If it's a Ukrainian victory,ppl are fooling themselves. what is likely to happen is more engagement from Putin to break Zelensky's resolve; Unless wiser heads are willing to find ways for Putin to save face with a limited victory in talks, the worse is yet to come

@SweetiePie00121 Sadly, not cautious enough. As there is no way Ukraine can win this war. And generally, it is not advisable to fight wars you can not win. The more this continues, the heavier engagement from Putin to break Zelensky's resolve; which means heavier casualties and more bloodshed.
