@SpidermanVennom@TomWoodland9 That's fair. I think it is a bad idea at this stage in the habs arch; to go down the 'reclamation' route. You either go for the real deal 2C or stick with what you have. And Mason played with Zegras, Gauthier, Terry, etc; and his best is a kapanen rookie season. I am not sold.
@SpidermanVennom@TomWoodland9 Well, he's a rookie. And secondly, he was a 64th pick for a reason. I'm not making the case for Kapanen as a potential elite 2C; I am making the case between an ELC Kapanen and a 7M McTavish for 5 years. When Kapanen as a rookie, already put up McTavish's career high of 22 goals
@SpidermanVennom@TomWoodland9 Well, if the option is a premium 2C or Kapanen; that choice is obvious. However, if the option is Kapanen on ELC or a 7M McTavish for 5 years for marginal gain; you're better of seeing through the development of Kapanen; not many rookies; put up 20 even if it was besides Demidov
@TomWoodland9@SpidermanVennom At a cost of 7M for 5 Years? At this point habs are better off going all in on a legitimate Centre like Thomas or Hischier; and if the can't afford it, stick with Kapanen.
Habs are better of with a 'reclamation project' or their own team, than someone else's team.
@TSNJR On Lareya; against a clever opponent, he is a penalty or a red card for a Dogso waiting to happen. He defends too much on the front foot. Sometimes, it is better to contain your opponent, than always sticking a foot in.
First game of #CFMTL that I've watched in ages, and in what world do you play transitional/route one football when you are up by a man with more than 30 mins to go! No width, no composure, no interplay.
@JoeNBC Men yearn for the rain to stop, and yet, all they do is lay fire to forest. Now , not only do the have the rain to contend with, but lighting and thunder.
@pjcadams@JulieWilcoxWX@davidfrum@TuckerCarlson@anneapplebaum I think we differ on depths of recklessness Putin may be willing to go. Also, a pinch of salt with media reports of his vulnerability. I think they are highly unlikely lose the war with Ukraine, and even if they were, he will in likely publicly scapegoat a general or two
@JulieWilcoxWX@davidfrum@TuckerCarlson@anneapplebaum The end goal? If it's a Ukrainian victory, ppl are fooling themselves. what is likely to happen is more engagement from Putin to break Zelensky's resolve; Unless wiser heads are willing to find ways for Putin to save face with a limited victory in talks, the worse is yet to come
@NickAdamsinUSA It's lost on those asking for 'no fly zones' whiles also comparing Putin's actions to those of WW2, are in of themselves also creating the conditions which gave rise to WW1; where countries due to opaque alliances turn what would otherwise been a limited war into a 'great war.
@SweetiePie00121 Not at all. Ukraine is just playing the hand they were unfortunately dealt. And it's expected for people under siege to be perhaps defiant or even stubborn. What is not understandable is the general media's appetite to relish that stubbornness; when there is no way Ukraine can win
@SweetiePie00121 Sadly, not cautious enough. As there is no way Ukraine can win this war. And generally, it is not advisable to fight wars you can not win. The more this continues, the heavier engagement from Putin to break Zelensky's resolve; which means heavier casualties and more bloodshed.
@SweetiePie00121 People's appetite to relish Ukraine's defiance as if this is an episode of HOC and not actual war is something. Hopefully, our leaders and media see sense and get Ukraine to concede so that Putin can save face with a limited victory; otherwise, this could go sideways quickly
@futbolsono@mehdirhasan "overthrow a govt" oh please... It's as asinine as those who say BLM protest is about 'overthrow of nuclear family'. Thousands takes to streets not because of what some organizers wrote somewhere, but, experiencing floyds death upclose;or witnessing the direct effects of mandates
@rakibehsan The eternal pursuit of 'ideals' is the death of all men. Whatever happen to 'I hear you; whiles I can not do 'this', I can do 'that', but in order to do 'that', we will need 'this' commitment from you.'
@grahamctv @EvanLSolomon@EvanLSolomon acting as if he is in Derry during the troubes; or Allepo, Kigali, or Srebrenica. Calm heads people; perspective please.
