US marketplace seller fees, one fact at a time. Every rate carries its official page and the date it was checked. eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Vinted, Depop.
Two US platforms advertise 0% selling fees. Vinted's page says you get the full selling price and nothing about buyer-side fees. Depop still takes 3.3% + $0.45 to process the payment. "No selling fee" is not "no fee".

Depop: Boosted Listings cost 12% for UK and US sellers on new listings from 23 March 2026. Optional, so not part of the base fee - but when you boost, it stacks on top of the 3.3% + $0.45.

eBay US, Watches, Parts & Accessories: 15% up to $1,000, then 6.5% on the part from $1,000 to $7,500, then 3% above that. Three tiers inside one sale. A single-rate calculator cannot get this row right.

Depop: if a sale is refunded, all the fees are reversed too - selling fee, payment processing and boosting. With Depop Payments it happens automatically. Check your own records anyway.

Mercari US: frequent cancelations can bring a cancelation fee of 5% of the item price, capped at $25. Mercari says you get warnings before it is charged. It is not on any standard fee table and not in most calculators.

Mercari US: the 3.6% Buyer Protection fee is charged to the buyer, not to you. It still raises their checkout price. Your 10% and their 3.6% are separate lines - don't add them into one cost.

Depop payment processing, by where the seller is based: US 3.3% + $0.45. UK 2.9% + GBP 0.30. AUS 2.6% + AUD 0.30. Sellers outside those three, not selling in GBP, USD or AUD, pay a 10% selling fee and PayPal's fee instead.

eBay US: your first 250 listings a month are free (category exclusions apply), then $0.35 per listing. List 400 items in one month and the insertion fees alone come to $52.50, before any final value fee.

eBay US: 13.6% applies up to $7,500 of a sale; the part above that is charged at 2.35%. Bullion differs again - 13.6% if the sale is $7,500 or less, 7% if it is over. Check your own category.

What US fees are charged ON, per the official pages:
eBay - item + shipping + sales tax
Mercari - item + buyer-paid shipping
Depop payments - item + shipping + tax
Poshmark - the page does not say. So I don't.

Poshmark: since 1 October 2025, sellers in Texas have an additional Texas Seller Fee Tax deducted from their earnings. It is the only state the page names. Same price, different amount received.

eBay US final value fee by category: Heavy Equipment 3%. Trading Cards 13.25%. Most categories 13.6%. Books & Magazines, Movies & TV, Music (except Vinyl Records) 15.3%. Each of these rates has a threshold above which it drops.

Mercari US cash-outs: a completed direct deposit is $0, a failed one $2, Instant Pay a flat $3 (up to $600 a month). None of these are per sale, so none appear in a per-item fee calculator.
