Awareness about a memecoin scam. Please read and learn from my mistake.

I am sharing this to help others avoid what just happened to me.

On Jan 25, I created a memecoin called FEDPEN

I am new to the memecoin world. The idea behind FEDPEN was simple. Build something honest, grow it slowly, and eventually use profits to help people who are struggling, including myself.

Like many new builders, I reached out to people for guidance. Some genuinely helped. Others did not.

Here is what happened.

On Jan 26, an X account offered to help me and connected me on Telegram. He claimed to have a marketing team and said marketing would be free. He said he would buy early and sell later only after the market cap increased, so I did not need to pay him anything.

He told me I had to lock the developer wallet to create trust. At the time, it sounded reasonable.

On Jan 31, after I bought around 5 SOL worth of FEDPEN, he sent me a link saying it was for locking the developer wallet. The site asked for my private key. I was hesitant and clearly said I was uncomfortable sharing it.

I was reassured that this was normal, common, and trusted by many developers. I believed him.

Within seconds of connecting my wallet, everything was gone.
My balance was wiped out.
The call ended abruptly.
His Telegram account name changed.
I was blocked on X.

Total loss was more than 7 SOL, around $800 USD.

That amount may not sound big to some people, but it is a huge amount for me.

The most important lesson I want to share is this.

Never share your private key.
Not to lock a wallet.
Not to deploy anything.
Not to build trust.
Not for any reason.

Legitimate helpers will never ask for it.

I am posting this only to create awareness, especially for new builders entering this space. If this post saves even one person from getting scammed, it is worth sharing.
