Here is my take, I think Octis will be back as a hollow one. The description of this "condition?' fits the in between interactions with Octis and Taisha, and a necromancer being returned as a hollow one (maybe influenced by the night song) would be poetic.
@MajinPhil I will second I have seen a few people say, it's nice being able to download the longer streams and watch them offline at work. Plus YouTube for me is much more sleep/night time friendly.
This entire campaign has been raging against those who force destiny on others and this party was so close to becoming those who forced a destiny on the gods. I am finally optimistic that this story won't come to a conclusion with the party being total hypocrites.
Bless Laura for coming up with a way to give the gods a choice. To not become the monsters that they have fought against. To allow the gods to have a chance to choose their fate instead of flat out killing them all. #criticalrolespoilers
This is peak Ashton hypocrisy, everyone is a fool to follow the gods, but Ashton is willing to literally let the world burn at the whim of a dead primordial. So much for being a protector when the weak will die for his new future. Just like Ludanis. #criticalrolespoilers
I feel like Ashton missed part of the point, Exandria will remain, but only the "strong" will survive. That could mean very few people in Exandria would survive. Or take generations of struggle to come to some sense of equilibrium. #criticalrolespoilers
@AdiTT2003 In this case people are going to lose their lives, in the name of a god or not. It's no different then the mages/ashari and other groups going to stop a potential cataclysm. Just drips with hypocrisy for me. But a lot of Ashton feels that way to me. Love tal just not a fan of Ash
I can't help but feel the disdain Ashton seems to have for the actions of the faithful in vasselheim. To me it's all over Tal's face in many moments. Just because they don't believe doesn't mean everyone else is a fool for taking shelter in that faith. #criticalrolespoilers
@transmogen This campaign is def much tougher and hits much harder. I can't help but wonder how a different group dynamic would handle this epic campaign. BH desperately needs a Caduceus. Someone to ground them, who has a clear sense of self and will push back/ challenge the self destruction
@transmogen Imo bella hells aren't weaker, this group is packed with heavy hitters, but they don't gel together like the M9 or VM. To me they are people who are together to achieve a goal that they all have found a reason to pursue. M9 and VM became a family who supported each other (1)
@transmogen Supported each other in accomplishing their personal goals, then deciding together to save the world. Both dynamics are fine and interesting, just very different. I wouldn't be shocked if some BH members never see each other again following this campaign. VM &M9 def keep in touch
Ashton is so pissed that they aren't special enough for a god to reach out, while despising the very concept of faith in anything outside of themselves. Why would a god choose that as their champion. They want everyone to be as lost as they are. #CriticalRoleSpoilers
I figured out why Ashton has been so infuriatingly inconsistent in their views. They don't actually believe in anything. They believe in their friends, most of the time, but outside of that they don't believe in anything, no faith in anything, Divine or not #CriticalRoleSpoilers
This has to be a champion of one of the betrayers, right? This feels like dark paladin magic, and we don't know a ton about the betrayer pantheon. It feels like classic Loviatar, but I am not sure if Exandria has a similar entity. #criticalrolespoilers
@bigtittyjesus42 I agree, I just have a feeling it's going to be a party members literal blood staining her hands for that to happen. And by then it will be too late, love is powerful but at what cost. Is Laudna ready to break the world to save Imogen. And will Imogen let her, or have love left?
We are also reaching a point where 'its not Laudna's fault" doesn't cut it anymore. She saved with the blade and CHOSE to feed the dagger to Delilah. That was Laudna's choice. She gave up the blade and CHOSE to feed Delilah. That is her fault. #CriticalRoleSpoilers
@bigtittyjesus42 And at this point, should there be? There will be a point of no return, and I hope it doesn't end up with a party member dead, which could have happened tonight had it been anyone else It's heartbreaking, but we are at a point where Laudna is an active participant of her downfall
Orym has every right to be angry. He acted in self defense and Laudna did like to them. She took the blade because Delilah told her to, not because she sensed it was evil. This could shatter Oryms trust in Laudna and it should. She could/will try this again. #CriticalRoleSpoilers
Imogen is realizing Laudna loves Delilah more then she loves Imogen. She needs Delilah more then Imogen, and she just proves she will hurt her friends to feed delilah. #CriticalRoleSpoilers
