I'm thrilled to announce that Impact Fiction, my fiction editing business, is officially live!
Welcome to my website! Even if you're not in the market for an editor, I hope my story and vision offer you encouragement and inspiration.

@once_darkness You could try WordCounter. It has a feature that identifies the most used words in a piece of text. Not sure how well it would work with a large document, but it's helpful with shorter chunks.
@pfwbooks @ndphilbrick Woohoo! Forests are the best fantasy setting ever! (@ndphilbrick 's stories can take a huge chunk of credit for the formation of this opinion.)
@once_darkness Also the trope of the footloose wanderer who leaves a trail of broken hearts behind him. One of my characters is a sailor whose lifestyle does mean saying a lot of goodbyes, but in the end, he leaves people more whole for having encountered him.
@once_darkness Love this question! Mine would be "guy & girl stuck in survival situation are obligated to fall in love." My guy and girl shall remain amiably platonic, thank you very much. Even if that means explicitly outlining why they wouldn't work as a couple for the reader's sake.
Happy book birthday to Sing to Me of Rain by E.B. Dawson!
This story is as just as refreshing as it looks. If you love well-written child characters, found-family traveling parties, tough questions, and thoughtful conversations, this story is your friend.

@kellyntheauthor I'll read the first book to see if I like it. 25 percent of the time I'll like it enough to read the next one. But even then I'll sometimes let a year or two go by between installments, even when the series is complete. 🙃
