BREAKING: Finland is deepening its ties with Israel in two big ways:
1. Ending funding for UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees that has deep ties to Hamas, including employees who participated in October 7.
2. Relying on Israeli defense technology to protect Finland by extending its partnership with Israel through 2034.
🛑On October 7, 2026, Austria’s public broadcaster ORF will air “Oz’s List” , the documentary telling the extraordinary story of Israeli citizen Oz Davidian, who drove into the Nova massacre zone 15 times and rescued 120 young people from the Hamas attack.
Davidian will also travel to Vienna, where he is expected to share his story at the United Nations before ambassadors and diplomats from around the world.
Three years after October 7, one of Israel’s most extraordinary stories of courage will be told in the heart of Europe and at the UN 🇮🇱
This is a story the world needs to hear.

We, the Weizmann Institute of Science community, deeply mourn the passing of Prof. Ada Yonath of the Institute’s Chemical and Structural Biology Department. Prof. Yonath pioneered the study of the ribosome, the cell’s protein factory, and was awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her research in this field. Her decades-long scientific journey led to an understanding of how various antibiotics work, helping pave the way for the development of new antibiotics and the fight against antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Yonath, the first Israeli woman scientist to win a Nobel Prize, also received dozens of other awards and honors, including the Israel Prize in Chemistry and the Wolf Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Yonath exemplified how scientific vision, the courage to choose a major scientific question and unwavering dedication to its pursuit can lead to extraordinary achievements and expand the boundaries of knowledge for the future of humanity.
May her memory be a blessing.

I just read the story of Withawat Kunwong who refused to surrender to a Gazan civilian who invaded Israel on October 7. The Gazan cut his throat and Withawat was left for dead. The knife was old and blunt and that saved his life. Never forget.
Israel welcomes Finland’s decision to end its multi-year funding for UNRWA.
It is good to see more countries recognizing the undeniable truth in light of the conclusive evidence of UNRWA employees’ involvement in the October 7 massacre and UNRWA’s inseparable links to Hamas.
UNRWA is a hotbed of terrorism.
It is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
A second flight has just taken off, carrying 37.5 tonnes of HADR material, medicines & food packets for Nepal.
India remains in close and continuous touch with the Nepalese authorities. We will continue to strongly support the ongoing relief efforts.

To whomever donated to the University of Toronto to install granite pavers with the names of Shiri Bibas and her boys: thank you! The pavers were installed a week ago just off King's College Circle near the Prichard Alumni House. I know I speak for many Jewish faculty and staff when I say that seeing a memorial to them at the heart of campus has been very meaningful. Your gift to our community was very thoughtful.
