@Krexxal@daveatano At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the aggressive content cadence they seem hell bent on achieving in retail wasn't partially achieved through Claude and ChatGPT regardless of if they are aware of it or not.
@sivhades Its been a very long time but it was amazing on Nostalrius. Activity at every hour of the day with different cultures forming at different times of the day. It wasn't perfect but damn was it nice.
@O4OUR I know that it took some people I know 30 minutes or more to login which I consider a long queue even if the number shown for me was similar. I had a similar experience to you where it only took me 10-15 minutes thankfully.
Both the Beta and Name Reservations for WoW: Forever experienced long queues and login troubles. Hopefully Blizzard is prepared for the 4th and launch goes smoothly.
@AlodarSylmor Definitely better this time around for sure. Stress test was very smooth which is why I didn't mention it I just hope that it wasn't like that because of a lack of interest and it was because Blizzard prepared correctly.
Every 3-4 months is a good cadence. Let the content breath and don't hold your players hostage by being too aggressive with content. let people take breaks to do other things but always promise more is coming just around the corner. People will feel respected.
I got my names reserved with one of them having already been taken on the Beta realms before. I'm fairly certain the others I intend on creating won't be taken before release
@MrGMYT Ideally Blizzard would recognize its something people are finding fun and want to play, ask the team to cease making it and get them to continue it officially before the iron cools.
@MrGMYT Many fanmade PC ports require you to supply your own legally obtained copy of the game to get around redistributing copyrighted content online but this might also be another violation of Blizzard's EULA. Legally its fine if you do it this way. Azeroth Survivors does not but could
@LadyVivienneVT The Light being subjectively evil isn't a new concept in WoW its just best done when its influence is unclear and its actions could easily be attributed to the users own giving the player something to consider and future writers more freedom in where to take the concept further.
@tomkektv 2019 was a massive success but it was also a shadow of Classic's true potential. Classic truly shines when 20 years of solving & improving as players has been accounted for. Forever worries me because it seems like half the team understands and the other half wants divine storm.
@tomkektv No changes taken to the extreme was always dumb. Most of what people wanted was actually the private server experience that accounted for the times. The one where SM wasn't spell cleave to 40, skipping mechanics in raids was earned and PvP ranking wasn't completely degenerate.
@Nimicry Onyxia's head gets shown off in Stormwind and Orgrimmar for a couple hours to signify your status as a dragonslayer then its mounted on the wall in the halls of your guild where roleplay moments can happen and people can muster and prepare for raid and world PvP unlayered.
Might be a hot take but I think Player Housing in Classic antithetical to what it is. Retail fulfills this already and will always do it much better. Yes it was experimented on in development but it just never happened. Give us Guild Halls to earn instead.
Player housing is coming to WoW Forever!?
One of the few retail features I think would actually work really well in Forever. Can’t wait to see their take on it 🔥
