Kyiv. More than 3 million people.
russia is striking Ukraine’s capital with ballistic missiles carrying cluster warheads.
Meanwhile, the US is inviting russia to a G20 meeting.
What the fuck kind of reality is this?
Last few days in Kyiv feel like a frontline city. 60+ hours of air raid sirens, explosions close by. 2-year-old girl killed in park. A cafe I go to badly damaged. Building next door on fire overnight.
I know it’s easier to look away. But for a second, imagine living like this.
The attack on Kyiv and the region has now been ongoing for almost 53 hours.
During this time, air raid sirens sounded 25 times in the capital.
All European leaders seem to be on vacation.
No rain fell in Rasuwa in Nepal this morning. The river still rose and swept away everything in its path. Here is why.
At 8.37 this morning, near the Nepal and China border, instruments picked up strong shaking. Early reports called it an earthquake of magnitude 4.4. The United States Geological Survey has now corrected that. There was no earthquake.
A huge block of ice and rock broke off a mountain and crashed into the valley. The impact was so heavy that it registered like an earthquake of magnitude 5.2. The landslide made the shaking. The shaking did not make the landslide.
That ice and rock fell straight into the Lhende Khola, a small stream that feeds the Bhote Koshi river. It blocked the stream fully and made a wall of ice, rock and mud across it.
The water behind that wall kept rising. Then the wall broke.
What came down was not water. It was mud, boulders and ice moving together. Video from the Rasuwagadhi border post shows the whole crossing vanish in under a minute. Timure and Syafrubesi were hit next. The surge then reached Bidur in Nuwakot and went on to Devghat, more than 100 kilometres downstream.
Police in Bagmati province have confirmed at least 95 dead in Nepal. China has confirmed 3 dead in Tibet with 265 missing there. The Nepal Tourism Board says nearly 400 travellers are missing, including 105 Indians and 37 people of Indian origin, many of them returning from the Kailash Mansarovar route. About 430 megawatts of power generation has been damaged. Bihar has put its districts along the Gandak on alert.
Now the part that matters for anyone living below a Himalayan river.
The same stream did the same thing 14 months ago. On the 8th of July 2025 the Bhote Koshi flooded with no rain. Nepal found that a glacial lake in Tibet had drained in a few hours. Scientists had already marked this basin as one of the most dangerous in the Himalaya for such floods.
These floods give no warning. No rain, no cloud, no alert, because the weather is not what causes them. Ice that stayed frozen for thousands of years is now loose enough to fall.
So remember this. If you are near a mountain river and the water suddenly drops for no reason, or you hear a low roar from upstream, do not stand and film it. That is a blockage forming or breaking. Move up the slope, away from the river, at once. Do not run along the bank. The water is faster than you.
Clear weather is no longer proof that a Himalayan river is safe.
Today in the Odesa region, the Russians once again destroyed an ordinary passenger train locomotive with a jet-powered drone. There were 340 people on the train. And whoever was operating that drone certainly could not have been unaware that the target was entirely civilian. As of now, unfortunately, we know that the locomotive engineer and his assistant were killed in the strike. My condolences to their families and loved ones. There were also strikes overnight in 11 regions – the Russians used more than 130 attack drones.
Every day, the Russians strike ordinary people’s lives simply for the sake of terror. And unfortunately, far from every such attack receives a strong response from the world. More air defense support and more pressure on Russia are needed if the world is serious about stopping this war in Europe.
July was the deadliest month for civilians in Ukraine in at least 2.5 years.
russia killed at least 634 civilians and wounded another 4,590.
634 lives. In one month.
Why does the world still refuse to call this terrorism?
What are you waiting for?
A Belgian company openly operates in Russian’s drone-making hub.
The Belgian government allowed them to contribute to Putin’s war budget FOR 4 YEARS! They were finally supposed to leave the market in January 2026 but they haven’t.
The Belgian government hasn’t penalized them. Worse yet, the company is asking for permission to stay, and openly supports their employees joining the terrorist war.
We 100% need to relocate the NATO headquarters to a place that represents courage and resolve. Belgium has neither.

Kherson survived another day of hell.
russian terrorists dropped a 1,500-kg guided bomb directly on the city center.
A 1.5-ton bomb.
Right at civilians.
Right in the heart of the city.
If this isn’t terrorism, what is?
Emergency response efforts have been ongoing since last night to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia. The city was struck with North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircons, and guided aerial bombs. It was a vicious attack, calculated to inflict maximum damage specifically on civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, as of now, six people have been reported killed and nineteen wounded in the city. My condolences to their families and loved ones. First responders are continuing to extinguish a fire at one of the impact sites.
In Kyiv, a missile strike damaged an infectious diseases hospital building and businesses. Drone terror continues virtually every day in our frontline communities. In Kherson and Kharkiv, substations were hit overnight, causing power outages. All services are working to restore power to families. The Donetsk, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv regions also came under attack. In addition to missiles, more than 120 drones were used against Ukraine, most of them jet-powered “shaheds.”
Every step Russia takes – increasing ballistic missile production, bringing in North Korean equipment, preparing for mobilization – all of this shows that Moscow is preparing not for peace, but for escalation. And the world needs to respond now, not wait. More sanctions pressure specifically on enterprises that fuel Russia’s war, more air defense assistance for Ukraine – all of this is needed to give peace a chance. I am grateful to everyone who is helping.
I received reports from Sergii Koretskyi, Mykhailo Drapatyi, and Viktor Mykyta on the consequences of Russian strikes on Odesa, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad, and our other regions.
In Odesa and the region, repair work is ongoing to restore power supply to people after a brutal strike on the energy sector. All necessary services are involved, and the work will continue for as long as needed. Residential buildings and the port were also damaged overnight. This is, in particular, how Russia is systematically waging war against global food security. As of now, eight people are known to have been injured. Everyone is receiving assistance.
In Kharkiv, a direct drone strike destroyed four floors of an ordinary residential high-rise. Dozens of people were wounded, and two people were killed. My condolences…
In Pavlohrad, there was an absolutely wicked strike near a shopping mall and on energy infrastructure. Nine people were injured in the city, including four children. There were also strikes on the Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
Russia continues to bet on ballistic terror, which is not limited to just one city or community. This week alone, 61 missiles of various types were used against Ukraine, including 56 that strike along a ballistic trajectory. There were also more than 1,560 attack drones and 1,540 aerial bombs. Every such attack on human life serves as a constant reminder – we need more pressure, more sanctions against Russia, and more air defense for Ukraine. I am grateful to those who are helping.
The Russian genocide is allowed to continue. Odesa is burning this morning.
In just two hours, the region was reportedly attacked by more than 70 Shahed-type drones and around 20 ballistic and cruise missiles.
Perhaps Ukraine’s partners should start asking a rather important question: where is Russia getting its additional ballistic missiles from?
Fires are burning in central Odesa.
At least six people are reported injured so far.
Another massive Russian attack on a Ukrainian city.
russian terrorists turned Odesa region into hell tonight.
In just two hours, the region was attacked by more than 70 Shahed drones and around 20 ballistic and cruise missiles.
This is russian terror. Nothing more, nothing less.
📽 Central Odesa is on fire tonight.
I honestly can't find the words to explain this world's indifference.
Since July 2, russian attacks on Kyiv have killed civilians again and again:
▪️July 2 — 31 killed, around 90 injured.
▪️July 6 — 19 killed in Kyiv, 8 more in the region.
▪️July 8 — 3–4 killed, around 15 injured.
▪️July 19 — 1 killed, around 15 injured.
▪️July 30 — 1 killed, several injured.
▪️August 1 — 9 killed, more than 30 injured.
▪️August 5 — 1 killed in Kyiv, 16 more in the region.
And this is only Kyiv and its surrounding suburbs.
russia has been using ballistic missiles, drones, cruise missiles, and cluster munitions against Kyiv — weapons that turn homes, streets, and civilian lives into targets.
Dozens of people murdered. Hundreds wounded.
Residential buildings destroyed. Families shattered. Children growing up with trauma that will never leave them.
And yet the world keeps watching. Statements are made. Condemnations are issued. And then the attention moves on.
How deep does the hypocrisy have to go before human lives matter more than political convenience?
How many more must die before the world finally stops looking away?
Is this a joke? The US betrayed Ukraine on a Patriot license, the US turned down any new Patriots, Trump is keeping $400 million from Ukraine that Congress appropriated. There are no new sanctions either.
To talk about Melania as the US has enabled Russia to kill Ukrainian children by depriving it of Patriots, is perverse
What kind of fucking world do we live in?
Kyiv. A European capital where more than 3 million civilians live is being bombarded with cluster munitions.
Where is the global outrage?
Will there be anything beyond a few statements and "deep concern"?
I already know the answer.
Russian terror attacks in Kyiv and the surrounding region have already left 17 dead and 44 injured.
Targets included facilities with no military connection: a brewery, a building materials warehouse, and civilian logistics sites.
Europe: is on vacation and looking the other way.
This is absolutely devastating. Look at a map of Kyiv to understand the scale of these fires. Russia is trying to erase Kyiv - A CAPITAL CITY IN EUROPE - off the face of the earth. And we aren't doing a damn thing to stop this genocide.
As of now, 44 people have been reported injured in the massive Russian strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Another 17 people, tragically, were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. It was a heavy strike – 24 ballistic missiles, 4 Zircon/Oniks missiles, and another 115 drones, a significant number of them jet-powered. The main targets of the attack were warehouse facilities belonging to civilian businesses. There were also strikes on infrastructure and a railway station. These facilities had nothing to do with the war – a brewing company, construction materials warehouses, and civilian logistics facilities.
Ballistic missile interceptors could have saved the lives of those killed today. It is very important that our partners understand that delays in supplying them, or an unwillingness to provide anti-ballistic systems, lead directly to such horrific casualties and destruction. Partners who are not yet ready to play a more active role in supplying interceptors can help by implementing new sanctions. A significant share of Russia’s ballistic missile production is still not under sanctions. Even now. New steps are needed – from the G7, the European Union, and everyone who supports the protection of life. Thank you to those who are willing to help in this way.
