I think it’s hard for others who have not experienced hardship to understand why others need plans when we’ve had little to go on.

Sometimes we live by the day or coasting on zero til we get our next gig. Stretching meals and having to cut back. It’s scary for me to be put in a place that i’d have nothing to eat because i have a kid. I try to always make sure we have noodles or bread or something.

And even then i consider myself fortunate compared to the millions that only eat every other day or starve in totality.

If you’ve grown up in an unstable environment you try really hard to find comfort and reassurance that there is something happening or coming in or you have a backup.

I know some people hate planning. And i’m not even the most organized person. But I need to be aware of goals for some sort of life direction to guide me.

It’s scary with how unstable the world is and jobs are difficult right now. So having a way to know you won’t get lost is crucial.
