Brilliant to sing together at beautiful Waltham Abbey Church last night, in front of such an appreciative audience. A great start to the Christmas season. We hope that you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

"Allowing choirs to reunite will have a tremendous & positive impact & allow a healing process to begin for those who take part. Choirs of all types provide a life-line & this life-line needs to be reinstated as soon as possible." 🗣️

Together with colleagues at @MakingMusic_UK, Singing Network UK, @ISM_Music & @aborchestras we have written to Professor Chris Whitty & Dr Jenny Harries OBE. We ask that the evidence, which has informed the recent guidance, be published. Read more here: https://t.co/YU6MwGaVaA
The rule of law requires laws to be reasonable, prospective and clear. @DCMS's latest so-called guidelines fail on all three counts. They are an unreasonable, retrospective, unintelligible mess. @OliverDowden time to give music the respect it deserves @MakingMusic_UK@abcdtweets
.@MakingMusic_UK suggests we lobby our MPs about the absurd regulations around non-professional choirs. Here's my letter, in case it's a useful template for anyone else.
Great news for a Friday! All being well, we're planning a concert on Sat 12 June at St John's Church, Epping. Programme to include Bach's Jesu, Meine Freude.
Lots of planning to do, and all tickets will need to be purchased in advance.
Felicitas Bear can't wait to see you there!
There's going to be a lot of folk on their own this 25th for whom that's a new experience. I've been thinking about all the years I lived on my own and woke up with just me on Christmas Day. Here's a thread of some thoughts about An Imperfect Christmas On Your Own.
Remote Tallis from Felicitas. We loved recording this, and can't wait till we can sing together again! We hope you enjoy "If Ye Love Me" in the meantime.
