Interested in all things soil; role of regen. agriculture & agroecology in mitigating climate change; and how insects can feed the world. Opinions are my own.

Let this sink in: EACH MONTH since June 2023 was the planet's HOTTEST.

This April was the hottest ON RECORD, and the 11th CONSECUTIVE month breaking HEAT records.

The world is BOILING. How many more records need to be broken for world leaders to take MEANINGFUL CLIMATE ACTION?

I've decided to withdraw my participation in next week's panel event in protest to the Science Museum accepting sponsorship from fossil fuel companies

This was a sad decision as I've been a big fan of the Science Museum since my first visit https://t.co/LC6avD0hKY #climatecrisis

[Felicity Roos @FelicityRoos1]

@Emmanigma A shame, but the right decision until the Science Museum drops it's fossil fuel sponsorship.

If we take good care of the ground beneath our feet, it will improve our capacity to withstand extreme climate events such as droughts, floods and soil erosion. The future of food, farming and our wellbeing depends on it.

Here's how we can support our soils... 1/6 #WorldSoilDay

It's mind boggling that after this summer and the last few years, fossil fuel companies and their hypocrisy are still being seen as part of the "solution"

[Mike Hudema @MikeHudema]

We should all be furious that as a summer of climate fueled event wreaks havok on our planet more isn't being done to stem the tide.

Record heatwaves, record floods, record droughts, record wildfires. How many more records before we #ActOnClimate?

In just one hour, a single private jet can emit two tonnes of CO2. The average person in the EU emits 8.2 tCO2eq over the course of an entire year.

Super polluters can't keep flying around like there’s no climate crisis.

It’s time to #BanPrivateJets.

As UK struggles with soaring energy prices and the threat of blackouts, fossil fuel lobbyists are working overtime to blame net zero. The truth is we're suffering from too little 'net zero'.

🌱🐛🐠 Today's #WordOfTheDay is #Erosion. Eroded soil washes into streams & waterways with fertilisers + pesticides, causing pollution which destroys aquatic life. We must protect soil and talk about #SoilHealth now! https://t.co/OS8PKEp6KK #UKSAW #HealthySoil

You can improve Soil health by:
🌻Keeping Soil covered with living plants or mulch
🚜 Limit disturbance, both physical & chemical
🐞 Encourage insects & birds into your garden who will enrich your soil
