@davepl1968 I also had a VT-05 terminal but it developed a fault and I never got to take a look at it to diagnose and repair it. It had been the console for the 11/40.

@davepl1968 I lost my PDP-11/40 and PDP-11/03 when the building where I kept them was sold. I was working away from home at the time so unfortunately my brother had to take them from the building and scrap them. ☹️

The 11/03 was built into a desk unit with a recess to take a VT-50 terminal.

@sweet_nector1 It's similar to an offset printer that I used in my youth to produce a school newsletter / magazine. There was a photographic process for producing the plates (sheets of flexible zinc, IIRC) which were then placed on the roller to transfer the image, including text, to the paper.

@Bucks_Highways Well, I hope it is a reliable, durable solution that will last. An experimental surface on our local footways, some years ago, did not survive very long and the pavements have become a trip hazard. I reported the issue in 2018 and the responses stated that an inspection had [1/2]
