Finally found a pair of Brazilian Mergangers above waterfall @ Canastra NP yest. morning,having spent 12 hrs. looking without success lower down with local guide,along the few accessible parts of river the previous day.Roughly 250 are thought to remain in the wild.#BirdingBrazil

Excellent first day on a targeted Brazil trip with @FelipeA14032575 with 2x very rare Antwrens: the critically endangered ‘Sao Paulo’ Marsh Antwren and the endangered Black-hooded Antwren showing well. A Spotted Bamboo-wren (no photos) was another welcome lifer.
