I don’t know what is more concerning. That the regulator tweeted about a shutdown not sanctioned by them? That the tweet came at 5:00 PM over an incident that happened at 1:00 AM? That the Military Chief declared only he could sanction reopening the media houses? That a public order to arrest media lead @SueNsibirwa came via X? That the CDF actually believes the press should be 'guided by cadres of the revolution,' or that the Head of State (the last known one, at least) allows all this to happen in silence?
How will this be recorded in the history our children’s children read? 🤔 or maybe the ‘writers of history’ will pretend none of it happened!
You only have the ‘power’ to bully institutions inside Uganda. Step outside Uganda’s borders and your threats are as valuable as a veto in a room where you don’t have a seat.
It takes a remarkably primitive political imagination to inherit influence and conclude that its highest purpose is shutting down media houses. While serious nations are competing to build world class universities, industries, research centres, and militaries, you are proudly advertising censorship as though it were a national achievement.
Instead of helping Mzee leave behind a prosperous, technologically advanced Uganda, you boast about destroying businesses, silencing journalists, and reinforcing the very stereotypes that have held African politics back for decades. You possess the mentality of an oversized political infant who mistakes coercion for competence and inherited authority for personal greatness.
Uganda has thepotential to be one of Africa’s leading economies. The tragedy is that its potential is too often constrained by leaders who still think like feudal chiefs rather than twenty first century nation builders. History has never been kind to rulers who confuse fear with respect, or obedience with legitimacy.
In functioning states, the Attorney General, Minister of Justice, IGP, Chief Justice, Chairperson Human Rights Commission, UCC ED etc would have resigned in protest of Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s insubordination.
Instead, they prioritize lucrative salaries over national duty, betraying the sacred oath they undertook. By choosing complicity, they bury a nation that will ultimately swallow them too. No one is safe on a sinking ship.
Like their predecessors, the system will inevitably discard them.
Make no mistake, their silence is active cowardice. By enabling this lawlessness for a paycheck, they are signing their own political death warrants. History will remember them as greedy bystanders who watched their nation burn for silver. They are building their own gallows, and when the system turns on them, they deserve every bit of the isolation, and public scorn that awaits them.

like many retards, people like him like feeling powerful in situations like this.
seeing the sensible and educated begging him to do something that he had no purpose doing in the first place just to stroke his ka fragile ego in such a humongous structure he carries around.
If you have power today, use it in such a way that when things change in future, you won’t have to explain yourself. Where people will defend you themselves saying: ‘That one was a good man/woman’
After 40 years and counting as President, @KagutaMuseveni should have been a little bit more gracious to Ugandans for having tolerated him this "wrong" never mind how terrible he has been for the job. But how does he pay us in return; he unleash his unhinged son @mkainerugaba to humiliate us and our country. He allows him to break the law to assuage his fat ego. As serving military officer, he freely engages in politics, appoints Speakers of Parliament, appoints his supervisors [read Minister of Defense] as his assistants in an illegal political entity. In Muhoozi, Museveni exemplifies his failure as President. Muhoozi represents everything that Museveni lied to our parents that he was fighting against!
Fmr Green Beret Nick Freitas believes Trump's war on Iran was the right choice, and depending on the next 60 days, could end up being a great victory for the U.S.
The main objective is to seize Iran's enriched Uranium, dismantle their nuclear program, and as a bonus, maybe address their proxy network
Nick's views different greatly from mine, as I'm a big critic of the war and feel it was catastrophic for U.S. interests
So this discussion was very interesting to me, allowing Nick to challenge my beliefs, and me to challenge his. I hope you enjoy it!
