He says we’ve been sold this image of “Islamic jihadists and bombers” our whole lives — and the narrative was deliberately hijacked to make us fear.

“Muslims honor Jesus as essentially a Messiah. He’s born of a virgin. They honor the Virgin Mary.

”Sean points out that the Quran is largely the stories of Abraham, Moses, and the Jewish prophets — basically the Old Testament with New Testament elements. It reminds him of early Christian heresies like Arianism, where Christ is seen as a divine emissary rather than God Himself.

He adds that Indonesia — the largest Muslim country in the world with nearly 200 million Muslims — is one of the more peaceful societies and not full of jihadists.

On the hijab:
“Why are you guys freaked out about hijab? Nuns do the same thing. It’s a spiritual practice… it goes back for a reason. The Jews do it too — Orthodox Jews.”

He says there’s “no compulsion in religion” in the Quran, and punishing people for leaving Islam is wrong and used as a tool of power.

Not sure who needs this today - but evil people exist in the world and that’s that.

Distance yourself, move on and stop caring.

There is no chance you can avoid encounters with them.

Take it as just a normal part of life and don’t waste one second trying to figure out why they are the way they are.
