In 1893, after months of campaigning, Sir Bertram held a meeting to form the Old Felstedian Football Club. The annual match shield between OFs & the U6 will be named in his honour.

The decorated war hero was even gifted a wedding present from OFFC as a token as his contribution towards the club in 1897.

The inaugural Sir Bertram Kirwan Trophy takes place on 1st September.

Named after OFFC founder and Hon. Secretary from 1893, SBK linked the school and OFs together before the society existed.
