Greg Abbott wants to arrest Democrats for doing their jobs — standing up to a shameless mid-decade gerrymander that would hand Republicans five more seats.

These so-called arrest warrants aren’t about law and order — they’re political theater. The lawmakers broke no laws. Quorum-breaking is a legislative tactic, not a crime. And outside Texas, these civil warrants are legally meaningless.

This is desperation, not leadership. When you can’t win fair elections, you rig the maps — and when someone stands in the way, you threaten them with bogus arrests.
