I could use your help with my fundraiser on GoFundMe. Please share, support, or donate—every small action counts. https://t.co/jTmglMG81r
This is all for past and up-coming medical bills. At least until I am well enough for a full time job with health insurance. Anything helps.
It’s not that I’m ever particularly surprised by what I see people say and defend on here
It’s just that today a small bird broke itself against our window, and my husband, misty-eyed, brought it inside in a little box so it could spend its last hour of life safe and warm
And I am so deeply, perpetually disappointed that more of you aren’t like him, and that so many cruel people are applauded as they say vile things while hiding behind their ironic detachment, their inability or unwillingness to be moved by the suffering of others
The creator of Tilly Norwood claims "an AI actor presents a more ethical alternative" to human actors.
"Here’s a truth that’s often uncomfortable to say: traditional acting demands that performers put their bodies and sometimes their mental health on the line. Dangerous stunts, intimate scenes, extreme physical transformations and endless hours of hair, makeup and retouching are all part of the deal, not to mention the constant scrutiny if a performer’s face dares to age in the 'wrong' way. And yet still, some find it more acceptable for a person to change their appearance through surgery rather than digitally... With AI, performers can explore roles without the need for dangerous stunts, extreme beauty standards or invasive procedures. The focus can shift to what really matters: timing, emotional intelligence, intention, and expression. It’s a deeply humane approach and focuses on the real craft of storytelling."

I will not stop saying this, AI is not art and it will never be art. What you do is the equivalent of microwaving a frozen meal and calling you’re a chef
The good news is that you’re not limited to books in the contemporary fiction section. I’ve never been in a bookshop that didn’t have a history section, a classics section, books on myth & folklore. If you don’t love new books, try old ones. I promise, there are books for you.
I have 80 Google tabs open with different search subjects, Spotify for music, another 30 for Pinterest for mood boards, email for some reason, this dumb app right here for some reason, but never ever chatgpt.
Stranger Things Documentary director on whether Duffer Brothers used ChatGPT while writing the script:
"Well, there’s a lot of chatter where social media users are like, “We don’t really know, but we’re assuming.” But to me it’s like, doesn’t everybody have it open, to just do quick research?
How can you possibly write a storyline with 19 characters and use ChatGPT, I don’t even understand."
San Diego Comic-Con will no longer allow AI 'art' to be displayed at their event
"Material created by AI either partially or wholly, is not allowed in the art show"
This follows backlash from artists after SDCC initially indicated AI-generated work would be permitted
It's kinda terrifying that people assume longer fics posted in a few weeks only are immediately AI. Have you ever heard about writing the whole thing and then posting on a schedule? 😃 just cuz an author posts 100k in 5 weeks doesnt mean they used AI
We need to heavily shame and stigmatize using AI for personal writing: texts, eulogies, essays, twitter posts. Letting a machine steal your words is a dangerous habit, that over time will rob you of being able to write or think at all. Writing is for human beings.
this might be the smartest thing they’ve done in a while
it forces shows to have more episodes per season and not get cancelled early on
the irony is stranger things would 100% get this award but it doesn’t qualify because it doesn’t have enough episodes and that’s exactly what, in my opinion, killed the coherency of the plot and character relationships in the end. they didn’t have enough time to execute properly.
reading short books doesn't count, reading fiction doesn't count, audiobooks don't count, reading fast doesn't count. reading doesn't count, you need to chew and eat every page of the book to be considered a “real reader”... real readers tattoo the entire text on their body!!!
