Thank you all.
And also, I made a discord server: https://t.co/OeZimnowyy
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov Dealing with criminals does not make it not anarchist or not capitalist. Self defense doesn't make you a state. And they de facto did not apply french law.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov The sources for this are unclear as to how it happened exactly, it could have either been social exclusion/shunning or exiling them. It's not worth discussing such details with unclear sources when it still shows feasibility, either way it was extremely close to ancap.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov We have different definitions for Capitalism, I only consider the private property part. The assemblies in Acadia were not coercive so it was not a state.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov Cospaia had no government, doesn't matter whether it was a republic. And it WAS successful, they were prosperous and it maintained itself during a long period of time.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov People settled in the wild west before the government legally recognized such a thing, read: https://t.co/JQs5wogodx
for the others I don't know if you bothered looking into it but I can assure you that Acadia and Cospaia were stateless and had private property.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov A theory doesn't need to cover all possible statements, ancap only covers some normative statements and that's fine. For examples look at: the wild west, medieval Iceland, Acadia and Cospaia
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov Anarcho-Capitalism doesn't make any claim about empirical consequences. And even then, there are examples of successful ancap.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov Consequences of what? Removing the state or applying non-aggression?
Ancap answers ethical questions because it shows that:
-Normative law exists
-Law is a subset of ethics
-The only non-contradictory law is one based on private property
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov Norway, because you don't know what stateless and private means. A terrorist group is a de-facto government, the terrorist groups inside of Somalia are very authoritarian and violent.
@AtticTruther@GigaCha91768521 The act of creating a person is done before the person even exists so you can't be opposed to the immediate effects, but you also can't be opposed to the effects in the future because the act is oriented at preserving the person.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov I'm not talking about its consequences as an economic system. What I'm asking is what statement is false about the ethical framework.
@DaDandyman@kentuckymingov We can talk about feasibility, but you first need to prove that your ethical framework is correct, or to disprove the libertarian ethical norms.
@AtticTruther@GigaCha91768521 If you kill the person while it's unconscious then you're not able to even know whether they wanted it or not. You can't have an "unavoidable aggression", so there is a guardianship role that is assigned to someone else while the person is unconscious.
