His tenure as a governor featured the notorious Awkuzu SARS known for the extrajudicial killings.
Also, who keeps significant state funds in a bank where he has influence?

There is also the issue of Pandora Papers, He has constantly defended IPOB( and has never called them out, not even once) and belittled issues around fake drugs and counterfeit beverages in the past 6 years.

In July 2026, even his former spokesperson Kenneth Okonkwo publicly dismissed him as “inconsequential,” so with all these inconsistencies which obviously shows how desperate he is, #WhoIsPeterObi???

This begs the very same question I have been asking, and in the same breath, the answer I have been encouraging for so long. When exactly are we going to start holding our governors and LGA Chairpersons accountable, ask them questions about how they are spending our commonwealth, what are your representatives doing with all the huge monies they receive as Constituency Allowance, what are they doing?

It is not FG's duty to ask how Governors and LGA Chairpersons are spending their allocations, it is YOUR job. Everybody is fixated on Lagos, Ogun State and Tinubu, but neglect the atrocious things committed by the elected officials in their states.

I have to say this honestly.

One thing I have noticed about many Igbo people and it genuinely worries me.

You will not take advantage of federal government initiatives.

Then years later when other states start benefiting from those same initiatives you will scream that the federal government is favouring them.

The student loan programme is the perfect example.

When it launched many Igbo influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers told their audience it was a scam.

Don't apply. It is not real. It is a trick.

And their followers listened.

While Yoruba students. Hausa students. Students from other states applied quietly and are accessing the funds today.

Now those same communities will one day say Igbo students are being left out.

No.

Igbo students were told by their own people to leave themselves out.

I am not saying trust government blindly.

I am saying investigate before you discourage your own people from opportunities that could change their lives.

Because the federal government will not come to beg you to benefit.

And while you are busy resisting everything on principle other Nigerians are moving forward.
