A great example that not*all*religions* support a ban on abortion. Judaism is a different legal system.
Forget the myth sp of church and state. This is another example of Christian supremacy. No US governing body will consider the Jewish law as enough of a reason to reconsider.

Never going to forget this:

When I was doing my post-Rabbinical ordination in a Hasidic school, there was a woman who was told SHE IS REQUIRED by Jewish law to have a 3rd trimester abortion/induce labor (with almost no chance of fetus survival).

Many states now outlaw it.

We love getting into the "holiday spirit" with our non-Jewish friends and family members- but just a reminder that "holiday spirit" and "holidays" in December are really a Christian thing- and that's ok!

Did you know that Hanukah is actually a minor holiday for Jews? It's true! In many traditional homes "the holidays" are in the fall- Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and then in the spring we have Passover. 1/2
