This afternoon, in the company of the City Clerk of Arua City, we had an engagement with Joel Mundua, the Lead Specialist and Deputy Head of Office for the United Nations Capital Development Fund (@UNCDF) in Uganda, coordinating operations in Uganda, Kenya, and Somalia, to discuss areas of partnership between Arua City and UNCDF. We shall communicate further as these engagements deepen.
We thank him for his time and look forward to working together.
Today, together with the RCC, Executive Secretaries, and the technical team, we commissioned the new maternity ward at Orivu Health Centre III in Ayivu East Constituency.
We also inspected the ongoing construction of staff houses at Pajulu and Ayivuni Health Centre IIIs.
I thank the Government of Uganda for funding these important projects and commend the technical team for their dedication and commitment to delivering them.

This morning, we had the honor of receiving the Diocesan Bishop of Madi and West Nile, the Right Reverend Charles Collins Andaku, at the Mayor’s office.
The Bishop offered prayers and provided guidance on effective leadership, emphasizing integrity, service, and dedication in public office.
His visit was a source of inspiration as we begin the week committed to serving our community with excellence.
This morning, I joined the faithful at Pokea Parish in Pajulu, Ayivu West, for Sunday prayers and fellowship.
I encouraged our people to embrace agriculture for income generation and wealth creation. With our fertile land and favorable climate, agriculture remains a key driver of household prosperity and economic transformation.
I also urged residents to remain vigilant against the threat of Ebola by observing all public health guidelines and promptly reporting suspected cases.

Arua's Mayor @LAlionzi has announced a partnership with Modern Tiles to beautify the Mayor’s Garden, enhance the Oil Well Roundabout, and restore Pajulu Road street lights. A field assessment is set for next week ahead of an MoU signing to build a cleaner, safer city.
