The reason credentials are important in finance
> If am ex-Goldman & Harvard PM loses money on your behalf, you can explain to your LP that you took a sensible bet on someone who clearly had the resume but could not live up to their experience
> if a decent trader but with no resume loses money on your behalf, the explanation to your LPs sounds a lot less sensible. Your LPs will question your judgement and ask what you were smoking when you hired him
> having a credential filled PM or sr analyst list makes it much easier for the firm to raise new money from LPs because of the same reasons
> the person making the allocation decision at the LP can point to credentials if things go wrong and their boss asks them what happened
Credentials are a good cover for competence. It is a fantastic CYA. This is also the only reason the consulting industry even exists
CEOs and CFOs want to point to the consulting firm as cover. CEOs can be fired for making the wrong move, but tougher to fire them if they hired McKinsey to do it and McKinsey recommended the wrong move
The credential that McKinsey brings is a cover for any incompetence on the CEOs part

Big 3 best season comparison.
Djokovic had:
- Almost 3 times as many top 10 wins as Nadal
- Twice as many top 5 wins as Federer
- 3 times as many top 5 wins as Nadal
- More wins against Top 10s, Top 5s, and Big 3 than Federer and Nadal combined
Strongest era champion 💪👑🐐
I love that Sinner and Alcaraz keep meeting in all those finals, and I hope the rest of the tour feels humiliated, not dejected.
Federer and Nadal nearly sweeping Slams for six years created a monster: Djokovic.
The more Sincaraz finals, the more chances of a future antagonist.
Si no, él no entra.

“I wanna thank Naomi for an incredible match. I’ve always looked up to her when I was really little. It’s great to play with such an amazing player like you” 🥹
